Just watched the presser. “ Luck of the draw” if you don’t lose a key player to injury, and in the MAC no one is deep enough to absorb a loss to a QB, TB etc...says Coach. Says the job is to have second stringers ready to go in case...says players get over losses quicker than coaches, and after walking out of Infocision with a few coaches Saturday, I think he’s right...lots of long faces. No one had the cojones to ask about job security, or “will you be back in 2019”?

One of you guys mentioned after the ChiState game that these guys look like they like each other, and it showed again today. They looked like they’ve known each other longer than they have, and they look like they are having fun, playing this type of B-Ball....IMHO

What's kind of cool about watching on facebook is you can see the # of people viewing. 318 right now for the pregame talk.
Noticed the same thing earlier watching a women’s soccer match on YouTube, and you could write comments

since there is no live streaming, it would be very nice if the Akron soccer Sports Info person would tweet more often ...than just at halftime and at the end of the game....
However, we have learned to expect very little from the Akron soccer sports info person
I knew that somehow there would be someone or more who could find blame in the UA Admin for this....it's got to be OUR fault somewhere along the line....! How DARE they allow Syracuse to not live stream this game!!!!!

I’m saying offer Pellini the head job after seeing what he was able to do yesterday, against our “ very good” defense (at least some Board Members thought so), and push BGSU to make him an offer, or i’d take him. 400 yards offense, utilized all sorts of different players, formations, play calling, innovating, leading, inspiring a bottom of the standing team, that had nothing to play for, over our sorry butts. How would you have liked to been one of our RBs or WRs that get no targets, no carries all season as well as last night while your Falcon counterparts are a part of the game plan from the start? I’d have asked him to stay behind, take him to the Diamond Grill and have a late dinner to discuss 2019 and beyond....but I’m not right in the head, so......

After the BG TD with 8 minutes left, the Akron return team went out to the wrong side of the field. I think that's a pretty decent summation of the leadership of this team.
They were beaten by a 2 win team on their home field on senior day. Damn embarrassing.
Me and the guys could not freakin' believe it! It was like "which way did they go George?" time. Freakin' hilarious. By that time my disgust had reached sarcastic time, and I was spewing, and all of a sudden it was like "they're on the wrong side of the 50!"

The Beacon article this morning was all so cheery and the only reason....THE ONLY REASON this game happened here is that poor ol' Duquesne, hosting the DIII NCAA V-Ball Championships, couldn't find another venue anywhere....ANYWHERE....between Pittsburgh PA and a High School gymnasium in Akron Ohio to play Radford, from outside Roanoke VA. Hell, there are three colleges/university within walking distance of Duquesne. Oh! We can give back the the children...the children of Akron. I've kept my trap shut about this, because I like Keith, and I like the I Promise School concept and I like LeBron and I do think he has given a lot to the city, but this whole thing stinks to high hell. To go to Ohio, com the day after the Zips won a home game at the JAR and on the front page see a picture of a Duquesne Basketballer with some schoolkids just makes me want to throw up the Eggos I just consumed (picture this in yellow

Yeah, we wish your sorry Hawaii-tanned butt was here freezing it off this week, with white stuff on the ground...and not your white sand!

This was great...like B & G said, class act and very humble, but seems self confident too. And also, ditto on a traditional Frosh recruit.

So the best we can be is 4th East, but need to win somewhere to avoid dropp8ng below Portage Community College. Weren’t we picked 4th in pre-season? So let’s win Saturday and in Athens and make it a solid 4th. (Can’t believe I actually would be satisfied with that, but what the heck?)

Okay here goes....first downs 13-19. I think there might be a couple of long(er) drives of 4 first downs or more each to lend to this prediction. Passing yards in the less than 200 range, as even if KN plays there will be more run options. I think we're due for a win, it's a home game, senior day, but it will be close, because....well, we're the Zips. And Van Edwards is going to be the leading rusher, but still under 80 yards total.
Fearless forecast - Football wins by a larger margin than Men's Soccer on Thursday, but not as big a margin as the Men's Basketball team wins by on Friday NIght.

So I couldn’t get a “second” for my nominating fknbuflobo to run this year’s bracket challenge?

I am chagrined, but nonetheless grateful, to be taught policy regarding flying an official flag at half staff.
Rest assured that my miss-statement was born from respect for the man remembered, rather than from disrespect toward our nation's traditions.

Those even tangentially associated with an educational institution such as UA should remain receptive to new knowledge.
And I am not too old to have learned a lesson.
Go Zips.
I knew your heart was in the right place, and your fervor was outstanding, but I didn’t want to be the one to bring it up... ??
Or half up...

It also looked to me like Alex was aiming the ball instead of just throwing it
This as what I said earlier in the season about Kato...but his mechanics have gotten a lot better since the Miami game IMHO. You're right, Alex will sooner than later start throwing it, rather than aiming it.

Coach says Boogie Knight added to wide receiver 2 deep for Saturday....close to vest, but kinda hedged that Alex will be the QB. Press Conference.

So George actually attended Saturday's game? That may be the first time an ABJ beat writer has attended a non-Kent regular season Zips game in the past decade?
His lazy counterpart with the PD, Big E Alexander probably offered him a free taco if he drove to Cleveland to keep him company....

Haven't seen the bracket. Who's going to challenge Z.I.P. in the Picker this year?
Did WMU get in? WVU vs?
You’ve GOT to find another place to have lunch at than that DAMN Chili’s without All the Satellite Channels!!!!
No WMU....Yes on WVU....forgot about the Bracket Challenge! I volunteer fknbuflobo to run the contest this year!

Zipsvoice, I forgot to reply to this post. Sorry, man. East QB Kyre Williams is a UA commit (as a DB/athlete) as is DT De'Arius Reese.
Thanks B & G....Kyre really looked good from the beginning of the game. He throws a nice ball and I liked his size and speed. The Dragons killed themselves with penalties galore. I thought when they went up 7-0 in the second half they would roll, but Canfield took control by running the wildcat with like a gazillion different backs in the QB slot....

Whatever...the same people keep harping on the same points that we already have 2 other threads devoted to beating the dead horse. It really gets old. This is G5 life, folks. and it isn't going to change. The NCAA is content to let talented kids sit on P5 benches and never see the light of day while their coaches promise them a chance they will never get.
Well said outsider, on the talent left to sit on P5 benches. It stymies me all the time, why....

Nothing more painful than watching a new QB learning, the hard way. Tommy and Kato both have seen games like this.
Agreed. I remember Kato’s game after his big debut vs. OU...guess I was wrong about Alex being ready...

There are more players than fans at this game.
I've got the pick of seats! But as cold as it is, in "the Factory" and in the Zips results so far, I may be heading to the local Bee-Dubs reallllllll soon....

I think the question should be worded as “Won’t you all be disappointed when he is not let go?” I mean, it’s not like he has anywhere to go, and when you say “stays” it infers he made a choice to stay. I guess he could retire, but I don’t hear his name mentioned a lot as a hot ticket to move to another school.
