I've been to two games at Ryerson since they grayed it out. It looks better in person, but it's still like watching Sunday football after church at my Granpa's on his black and white set, especially when the home team wears all white with the matte helmets....

I picked 15 to 20 first downs for EMU, based on their play calling so far this year, and also on our habit of giving up long drives, especially as the D wears out as the second half progresses. Don't know who will QB, but assuming it's KN, I think he'll be right about the 200 yard mark. Since EMU tends to get their first downs via the pass, and uses short passes a lot, I'm going with Alvin for most tackles, plus he's been the most consistently high in tackles. I think there are 3 TDs a piece in this game. And my fearless forecast is...EMU misses a field goal at the end of the game to allow the Zips to leave Ypsi with a W.

This coaching staff and SID rarely release anything regarding player injury status, so as not to give opponents advance knowledge. Once saw Council on campus with his huge cast and arm askew and yet he was still listed on roster and depth chart for game the next day. Only way we ever find out if an insider lets it slip, and even then they have to be fearful of the rath of TB if found out...you’re right, we’ll find out Saturday at noon....

And this goes back to what TennZip said earlier and hopefully Malone your e-mails May help. Williams or the Department should make a statement as to what happened, what was done to try to fix it, why the game was cancelled and why the 4 pm start...clear it up from the top.

Malone, I know...but if there was no tweets wouldn't you assume there was nothing known? I too had an hour drive back home, and I sure wish I had known something. And yep, the NCAA match at 4 happened, but once more, who made that decision? U of A, NCAA, I don’t know....

Okay...devil’s advocate here....and know I’m not happy about last night either, but...do we know for a FACT that the reason the Tuesday game is at 4 is because the AD or department chose that time, or does it have ANYTHING to do with the MAC, travel schedules, etc.? Do we know for a FACT that the power outage was within the U’s ability or even jurisdiction to fix? It had been out since noon-ish, so maybe Ohio Edison lines had something to do with it? I don’t know, is anyone certain it was ineptness on the U? Do we know for a FACT that the game was a no contest due to Akron, I mean I would assume WMU was spending the night in Akron, why not play Sunday morning in broad daylight. Maybe WMU said no? Why does anyone expect tweets to be sent out just to say “no news”, or does anyone believe, like some earlier posts, that this was a conspiracy to keep everyone uninformed? Does anyone standing around at FES seeing the big generator and the lights rolled at that the U was trying to solve the issue? Does anyone know for a FACT that Williams, VanHorn, or Henderson (who has nothing to do with anything but fundraising) failed to be involved in trying to get the match in, or to solve the issue? Or does anyone not agree that if this team played up to their potential this season we wouldn’t even be having the conversation on Tuesday start times, but bitching that the Friday semi-final match was at 5:30 and some faand might not be able to be there?

C'mon Doc, a "good chance"? Maybe a chance. EMU didn't look that much worse yesterday than we did against CMU, and they certainly looked better against Buffalo and NIU than we did. And any word yet on the status of KN? Won't that effect our chances? Just sayin'...maybe I missed something watching them yesterday.

Cap'n - my first season with lower level season tickets. I had bought my first set when Crawford came, as they were cheap once Huggy left and I didn't need to make a donation for upper level seat-backs. Decided when they got rid of Coleman I would remove the paper bag I used to wear on my head at games and "man up" to the better seats....what a season! Tron...the Magic Barbertonian!
