Eastern Michigan has been very erratic this year. They are 4-5 with beat downs from both Buffalo & CMU. We played both teams closer than they did. With that being said, we can’t play a complete game. Even if we hang with teams for awhile we end up falling apart. EMU 24-10

The one I think they made a mistake on was Dre Williams. He was our leading receiver last year in the slot. Because of the pro style offense & only having one slot they moved him to outside receiver because they fell in love with Boogie’s work ethic. I don’t think they expected Burkhart to dominate camp. I guess he had like 12 TD’s & more catches than all receivers. Next closest TD’s was like 4. Boogie didn’t do well in games & they moved Dre to slot but he had to make a decision before playing 4 games since he didn’t redshirt he can use this year & still have 2 years left. Mathison ended up at the slot & Hicks outside. It’s really hurt our offense losing Burkhart & Williams. Even losing Morris to injury. Lost 3 of our best weapons & it’s definitely showing.

I ?% agree, you would have to see his post in totality, I believe the moderators have moved & created a nicer thread. He came in trying to start problems. I’m all for talking & hearing opinions but every week he starts it all over again, trust me, I feel the pain just as everyone does. Rather you agree with firing & hiring there isn’t anything we can do. You never see a firing within the first year of a coach that is coming into a mess, we were on a downward trend with nothing in the cupboards. Finding a coach isn’t easy & once you make the decision you gotta give him a chance. I was for keeping Bowden & getting a new OC & maybe even getting some younger coaches so we could do a better job on the recruiting trail. Ultimately that is where it all starts. But once they made the decision I wanted Getsy because he was a QB here, was on Green Bay staff & is a current SEC OC & makes $600,000 as an OC & we would of had to pay more than what I think the University was willing to pay but it maybe would have been worth it as doing this bad is costing more than the $500k we are paying Arth. Lastly Getsy has D1 playing & coaching experience. Arth had neither & his learning curve is bigger & I think we see that now. I’m almost 100% positive the snap issues are all on Peterson. He had issues & they switched the two & then Forman got hurt & they moved Council to Tackle & Peterson back to Center & Muldowny to LG, Forman came back this week & everyone back to spots. Council has a bad ankle & came out & Peterson went to Center & bad snaps again

It’s killed us not having Burkhart, most of our early scoring drives this season had a big play involving Burkhart on the drive. Have been stagnant without him. Let’s hope they figure a way out to 1. Get a running game 2. Protect the quarterback 3. Find a playmaker 4. Need a speedy receiver that gives deep threat to get everyone out of box Wow, that is a lot to work on

Why? Over & over again, i am so thankful for Bowden getting us out of the basement but he hit cruise control & we are here because of him. We are playing with Bowden recruits & Recruits we got after signing day. This sucks because are senior coaching staff didn’t want to hit the recruiting trail anymore If you look back I wanted a new OC but once the decision was made I wanted Getsy. For being an x QB here, being in NFL around Rogers & an OC in SEC but would have cost some money. With that being said we gotta give him a chance to recruit as we can see he wasn’t left much & playing true freshman is never a good thing
