I know they don’t do injury reports but anybody know anything about Burkhart, he is our only big play threat, he had 4 catches in one drive in the UMass game, 1 for a TD right before half & didn’t play 2nd half & was in street cloths yesterday Combination of no big play potential & knowing your going to get beat deep on defense on any given play is depressing, especially if you have no run game to eat clock & keep opponent off the field The long pass TD on the first drive took the excitement out of the crowd, the players fought but crowd seem to lose it on that play

We have 7 games left & you will see Gibson in 3 of them barring him getting injured & he keeps his redshirt Not trying to be a jerk but we aren’t doing anything this year & the cupboards were left bare especially on defense, we had to hit Juco hard to just be competitive & we have no numbers in the defensive backs & 3 have hit the portal, it’s going to take some time We know Kelly is out of eligibility & I have no insider info but I could see since Kato was RS he could possibly leave as a graduate transfer if he stayed on pace for 4 year graduation Plus I thinking they are recruiting for an upgrade in lineman, much needed also My vote save Gibson’s RS

When you enter the portal you are off the team, he has been removed from roster already. He can redshirt since he played less than 4 games but it doesn’t matter unless someone picks him up

He played in 3 games, started in 2, he will be able to redshirt if he finds a new home

Vise Versa, 2016 we was one victory away from a Bowl Game & Woodson & Chapman went down, had Hoyer & Nelson on sideline & we used neither & went to a WR in Goodman & didn’t get the victory. We had a couple of games to get that victory & Bowden wasn’t burning Nelson’s redshirt, sucks we didn’t get that victory but it was the right decision not use Nelson, now why we didn’t try Hoyer IDK

He never won a National title, he led the team he inherited to an 11-0 season that was under a bowl ban & could not participate in National Championship game. During his time there Auburn had a downward projection from that point on to the point he was forced out mid season

Back to Kato, need to look at what is best for future of team, use his 4 games for experience but IMO nothing is worth burning his redshirt

@Captain Kangaroo This board is very well done & I agree with most of what your saying but Jonah wasn’t our best receiver & may not have even started. This defense is at such a disadvantage, you have Lako & Davis that are legit D1 guys, new d line that creates no pressure, new linebackers & a bunch of DB’s that never played a college football game a month ago. I expected so much more out of this offense but you can’t do much with little blocking. No run game, now Gibson made things better on pass game cause he knew how to move around in pocket & go through reads, something we haven’t seen but Burkhart is only real game changer we have in speed & athletic ability I hope things get better but unfortunately I think it may get worse before better but this isn’t Arth’s fault. Give him a chance, let him get a couple recruiting classes in & if you don’t see it we should all ask for a change I believe you never settle & always strive for greatness Go Zips ?

The only problem with that attitude is we have 78 of 85 scholarships, 3 recent scholarship athletes entered the transfer portal in last 2 weeks making 75. How many run out of eligibility this year? You can only bring in 25 in a year. Can’t catch up if to many leave & really sets the rebuild process back

Looking at that proves what a few of us have said, we are small for a D1 school, our team is slow as well, small & slow doesn’t make a good combination Arth is recruiting different & hopefully that will change, don’t know if any will be any good but he brought in lineman with good height & weight this year, time will tell
