Again, I'm not saying anything, I thought the tweet was funny, the guy said man everybody is leaving but they have lost commits, returners & best QB / WR combo in the league plus some other good seniors but I'm not saying anything for either team, just funny & people betting & wanted to generate some action cause it was a dry day
-
Not really debating, I just through that up because the 2nd tweet of the fan saying everybody is leaving. I have seen the 10 recruits & I don't think Fleck related but the standard transfers & they had a lot of seniors, it is a big turnover

His highlight film looks good & good size, absolutely not making fun of the recruit, just don't see his name on any of the list & after some of the comments was just thinking maybe someone was playing around, hope he is part of the Zip family

Lol, plus a green shirt is a recruit that is brought in early, so a 2017 graduate that graduates early & enrolled in spring semester (now) and is expected to contribute as a true freshman

On another thread but I think if we could get this game for Sept. 9th that could help with ticket sales getting started off on the right foot maybe move us up from 125 out of 128 programs, but we need to win & get the steel tire back or it could backfire
-
-
I am not positive but after Troy was added I think they are trying to find an FCS home game for Sept. 9th. I could be completely wrong, no insider info, just a guess

I don't think you have an inherent problem lol, I'm not trying to be a d***, just expressing my opinion, not trying to offend anyone, you are entitled to your opinion & I welcome it, that is what makes a forum

I don't look at all the players social media and things like that but Losing a player early to draft if he can get drafted is good for program, recruiting tool, a player we got lucky getting so he could get some playing time & probably never vested into be a Zip leaving for a better opportunity, good luck to him, hopefully we can find someone who does as well & wants to be here. Dr. Z's comments makes me think maybe he wasn't all in
-
I don't think shrug off, I think how you go about it, I will agree we have concerns, we need better recruiting, we need depth to make it through injuries & people for tons of different reasons leave or quit program, we need people who want to make the Zips better, they got to want to be here, we need to get out there & recruit better, we need to find D1 athletes with the appropriate size & speed, yes you have to find diamonds in the rough with heart but you can't fill a roster with under sized & slower personnel, don't know answer but I hope they look at recruitment as a serious area of improvement after last year & address it
-
Exactly, can't make 100 competitive people happy & it is the same everywhere, that is not in support or descent of the current staff, it just happens no matter what, there is another thread on here talking about the players leaving OSU & most think pretty highly of Meyer
-
I would re read your statement, sorry for the misunderstanding but I was addressing the 2nd part of your statement

You can visit any school you want, all coach has to do is make a call, I won't talk bad about recruits, my opinion is he will stay strong, he is a D lineman without D lineman size for D1, I know we are not tier one but that is my only concern when looking at the recruits height, weight, speed is some concern me, big difference between high school & D1 & every inch & every bit of speed helps

http://www.gopherhole.com/page/show/334856-ski-u-mah In 1884, two Minnesota rugby players, John W. Adams and Win Sargent, tried to think of a fitting team yell. They used the word “Ski”, a Sioux battle cry meaning victory, and combined it with “U-Mah” (representing the University of Minnesota and rhyming with “rah-rah-rah”) to create a team cheer.

Hopefully he can sell the kids on staying or that could be a tough job On the other hand we can use some D lineman if they want to transfer to Akron

Well said, while the education is of great value, these kids or young men are putting long days of school, film, practice, lift, studying day in & day out, 1% get D1 scholarships & some can't handle the workload & don't make it, good to see one that put the work in with no scholarship get rewarded
