  1. I don't know I can pick one but I'll give my opinion on a couple things I feel to be true, Meeks, blocking well & seems big & strong, want to see him get targeted to see what his ball skills are Burkhart, in watching him you can see his explosiveness, the 4.4 speed & 39" vertical which separates you from the defense, we have several guys out there that are like 4.7 guys & cant create separation, plus pretty good size so with him & Wolf we can push the back end of the defense back by having deep threats which also helps the run game Sampson, wish he was a little bigger but you could see his explosiveness off the ball & his motor while he was out there
  2. Good work Doc
  3. Thanks Doc
  4. I hesitate to put my thoughts on here but here it goes. 1. the seating Akron fans got had a good aerial view, you see so much more from above 2. We where way outmatched, size & speed, across the board at all positions, our 2 WR 5'7" & 5'9", no target area, WR should be 6'2"-6'4" & slots 5'11"-6'1", just one ex. But it's like that everywhere in this game (definitely need Wolf out there) 3. With that being said I was disappointed with a few things, PS brought someone from the edge a lot, rather it was a linebacker in 5 wide, a safety or corner, they rotated a safety to cover blitz, they also had a DE pushing our tackles down into the guards leaving that outside pressure clear path, depending on how you teach it, the tackle passes the DE to the guard & stays outside or the uncovered guard bounces out to pick that up, we didn't do it & ended up with 2 guys blocking the DE with clear path to QB so O-line is always talked about as a strong suite didn't play well & don't mean just outmatched but outwitted, secondly on offense, we had no hot reads on those outside blitzes, if you want them to stop doing it, you have to have QB/WR on same page with hot reads & burn them 4. Opposite on defense we had no pressure, they had all day for their reads in the RPO offense, by time they had to make a decision you could see the defense part like the red sea & then our team speed was not good enough to recover with McSorely & Barkley & they just ate it up, on the DB's getting picked on here they can't cover forever, a lot of the big plays where on double moves where they turned completely around on & you can't do that, you need to be able to plant that foot, open hips, turn & run, once you turn your burnt but you can't give enough time for teams to be running double moves that far down the field, they can't cover that long just my thoughts on a few things I saw, I guess release the hounds & start shredding what I said, debate is good good news, Arkansas Pine Bluff next week Go Zips
  5. Not a drizzle right now, hope this passes before game starts
  6. Dam, it's like 48 degrees with a real light drizzle, Fireball is helping
  7. I hope just an error but no Austin Wolf on depth chart
  8. Be interesting to see latest depth chart, I have heard Dixon & Burkhart doing well also, it is an unknown but maybe this position can become a strength, although with I think 7 senior receivers I would be surprised if Williams or Burkhart where used
  9. Yes but you can't lead a team in receptions if on the IR, goes for all of them but he is about 5'7" 150 so especially for him
  10. But he is apparently catching the ball, he is running all over us in the highlight films, he is small & hopefully he can stay healthy, good chance I'm wrong we probably use about 8 receivers so odds are tough but I gave my opinion
  11. I will tell you that a few of the players told me he is the toughest receiver to try & cover, sounds like he has had a good camp
  12. #21 Fransohn Bickley is my write in choice for receiver with most receptions
  13. Thank you Dr. Z, that is the best information we have got all camp
  14. Anyone that goes to 9 am intrasquad scrimmage please post some thoughts
  15. He played for Coventry all 4 years
  16. Don't know if still there but I believe Dad was a WR coach at Kent & that is how he ended up at Kent Roosevelt
  17. Chapman wants to be the best WR to ever come out of Akron https://twitter.com/GeorgeThomasABJ/status/895389937738153984
  18. All philosophy, said nothing about the team
  19. 25 days till kickoff, maybe before than we will see something
  20. Did anyone watch the inter squad scrimmage yesterday?
  21. Here is to hoping we have no wide receivers playing quarterback, but if we have to, one of them at least has experience
  22. Rumor is James King also had to go Juco because of grades & Brian Bell will be available, being disciplined for off the field incident
  23. DE, several have said they like him like a rushing/blitzing DE
