  1. They have pretty much settled in with Wolf, Coney & Smith with a tight end & Young & Chapman giving spot subs & 4 wide packages, it does appear to be our weakest link, just my opinion when you run this style offense you need to have bubbles & stay passes to be an extension of your run game, you need WR’s that can block & run the ball, the good spread teams that is the run game to keep the chains moving, Chapman has shown only one to have good skills with ball but our receivers don’t block very well, I would like see more out of offense, it’s pretty predictable
  2. Yes, wouldn’t have given 1st down & didn’t want to take points off the board
  3. Can the offense get some first downs & win this game
  4. Watching live in Kalamazoo it appears we are losing & stats confirm but we keep making stops when needed
  5. I’m no turf expert but I’m not sure after it bubbled like it did in a couple spots it would be safe. Wouldn’t it need restretched & laid out again to make sure it’s smooth & in proper shape to avoid injuries? Anyone know?
  6. Ok dude, I’m old, what the hell is tBotD cause none of that made since LOL
  7. And not trying to be a jerk but according to info I’ve read, Williams is a 4.7 guy who is smaller in size but coach has said runs good routes, Stewart is a 4.8 guy with good size, idk but those are NOT typical D1 receiver speed, Burkhart runs a 4.4 & good size but may not be ready, IDK but as a whole the team seems to be improving, hopefully they keep getting better Go Zips
  8. IMO, Gladney & Young haven’t brought much to the table, Chapman has had the targets but not played great yet, he has had a lot of drops & the fumble against Iowa State started the change of momentum, not advocating for anyone as we really haven’t seen enough of the young guys to make an educated guess, plus we knew the WR corps was an unknown coming in, but of what we’ve seen we don’t have a game changer, a player who can make the big play, can take it to the house on any given play, we won’t know if any of the young guys can do it until they get a chance but right now your winning & you gotta try to win the East & the knowns they have are gonna get the first chance, I know you want to see him play but hopefully his time is coming
  9. No your good, I needed a beer that day or a few
  10. Apparently I am clueless, I do believe if we win they will come, I was saying if we contend for East we have to meet the standard right? We only need 30k for next 3 games. I apparently am not a very good writer & don’t get my thought across very well. Sorry for that but I certainly didn’t want to start this argument again LOL
  11. Wow, I didn’t intend to stir up this again, I just wondered what the attendance was & was saying we are averaging over 20k a game. I know how it works, I give out a lot of tickets every week from a corporate purchase program. So I first hand understand. Regardless how they are purchased, plus students are free but they count, regardless the number is up & there has been more people in the stands. I have read an article that Akron passes the cost onto tuition. Every student is paying more to pay for tickets to reach the 15k standard. Just hoping that doesn’t need to be the case, I don’t care how you sell them but sell them here is an article on it http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20150913/NEWS/309139997/ncaas-out-of-date-football-attendance-mandate-makes-it-difficult-on
  12. I’m going to the game but they have a streaming app if you have a fire stick or roku
  13. Just stop, been hashed out a 1,000 Times already but you gotta avg 15k to be D1, hopefully we don’t need to buy this year & we play P5’s for paydays & need bowl games to help fund which is also still on the table, try some positive thoughts & even you will feel happier
  14. I kind of see why no one likes a select few in here, please don’t try & put words in my mouth, I’m just saying we are averaging 20k a game, if we hit 15k we don’t have to buy 4K tickets a game like we did last year & pass that cost of approximately $1,100 per student on to there tuition, win, win, don’t care how they come up with the numbers
  15. I understand how the tickets work, they are sold tickets, not butts in seat but I have been at all games & attendance is up. So we are avg. over 20k a game right now. The school doesn’t buy tickets till the end to get the avg up to 15k minimum so there is a chance they may actually hit it, only need 10k a game from here on to hit the 90k needed
  16. What was announced attendance? With 3 games left we have to have a legitimate chance at hitting 15k average if we stay in hunt for east? Or am I a clueless newcomer?
  17. Welcome back @Balsy, 1 win & your back, way you made it sound you may check back in at the end of the season, in the future stay away from the cliff ? Go Zips
  18. I'll take it, 3-3 probably lose 2 in a row & be 3-5 but I like our chances having 3 out of the final 4 games at home A lot of doom & gloom on here but we can play with everyone in the east Go Zips
  19. It would be awesome if for us if it came down to beating Can't State to go to Detroit.
  20. No, because it was to long & I was working but I got the first paragraph & I have a son in a branch of the military now & grandfather that served as well & it is what I & most people believe.
  21. I'm not reading all this but I will say, like it or not it is an American tradition to stand for the National Anthem at sporting events if you are capable & as far as I'm concerned it's the least I can do to live in this great country ?? I know there are issues & there always will be because it is called freedom & some will always be jackasses but in my heart I still believe most are good & mean well. So in my opinion, go tailgate & see how good people are, stand for a minute & then enjoy the sporting event. GO ZIPS, let's turn this back to a zips football forum ???
  22. Penalties ??
  23. They was talking about Johns, don't believe Ramart will play this year Johns is 4th string & now doing special teams & tight end/H back because he wants to play
  24. One of them that got blown up was Chapman completely missed his block, not sure if he is pressing or what but he has dropped a lot of passes & fumbles without any real contact, we just made game 20-14 & had some momentum
  25. I would like to see us get Warren Ball in open field with some screens & bubbles (hopefully he can catch) & use some of the bigger receivers for blocking
