well, without a legit running threat, might as well go empty an give Kato more options in the passing game
-
like i said earlier... 3 words
-
losing Deltron was huge and our OL is getting its lunch eaten by all the blitzes (and sometimes when they only bring 4)... we still have time to come back but the O needs to spark the Defesne (they look flat)
-
it's been a mess for sure but to be fair, he's had at least 5 dropped balls.... at least.
-
if they allow the refs to call that a NO-CATCH, something has gone terribly wrong in the football universe. I'm a Cowboys fan so I know all about the BS incompletions.. whew, thank goodness the review guys got it right.
-
QBs need to know their hot routes to beat the blitz. Can't wait for the deeper routes when they are pinning their ears back.
-
we don't quite have the right piece(s) to run the spread... yet
-
Let's go, O!! Gotta gets some MOmentum here and start stringing together some quick hitting plays
-
That was the best 1st down play of the night... and we needed to keep them behind the sticks here. Good job D

I have 3 words: SHORT PASSING GAME
-
I'll catch it later... Wooooooo
-
I like you, @K92 neither you nor I wanted to let the "titally" go by without comment. I just didn't pull the trigger.
-
thanks
-
who put that pressure on Ragland. I missed that.
-
I dunno man. They've won us a few games this year already. Sure they're giving up bigger chunks on 1st down than is ideal but they're scrappy.
-
yeah, he's a damn good CB. Always in great position and has ball skills. He's forcing the WRs to play defense.
-
yes he does. Very nice ball flight and as mentioned by the announcers, the ball jumps off his hand. Hopefully we can get some guys behind the defense so he can show off the deep ball tonight
-
I'm sure the team does. not sure they disclose that info though.
-
Scoped... he's back.
-
TB seemed to suggest that that would be the case (Sands has earned more playing time if not out right starting job) in his presser

Miami vs. OU - Tonight @ 8pm on ESPN2
CDMac replied to Captain Kangaroo's topic in Akron Zips Football
going to really need to the LBs to play well to keep Rourke in check. Miami's backside LB's got caught over-persuing time and time again. Rourke just cut back underneath and there was no one there. Have to trust that your edge is set and the playside LB is doing his job; not try to do more than your job in holding the backside cutback. We have to make them one dimensional and force Rourke to try to beat us with the pass. Just my 2 cents @LZIp I was thinking the same thing about the Miami LBs. They will most likely be down 2 of their starters like you mentioned. Zips should be able to get the ground game going. -
hmmm, Music Television that actually plays music. Maybe they could show music videos or something like that... What a novel idea All the "reality" tv has ruined civilization as we knew it... And, GET OFF MY LAWN!
-
I was thinking the same thing but realized after cutting the cord that I don't even watch 1/4 of the channels bundled in cable I would gladly pay 5-10 a month for each channel I actually watch and have them as apps on appleTV, fireTV or another streaming player. For some it would not make sense but for me and @Balsy, it sounds like we watch exactly ZERO television that can't be found on free digital OTA Then just 2-3 sports apps and I'm set.
-
I haven't watched ESPN for anything other than games for years... I cut the cord on cable last year as well and now just have subscription services. The hardest part for me was getting rid of DirecTV because I always had the Sunday Ticket package. The price just wasn't worth it to me anymore given that I'm a Cowboys fan and 75-90% of their games each year are nationally televised. I have NFLN and a sports package that gives me NFLRedzone and watching rendzone fills the gap when there isn't a game on that I'm really interested in. Saving a ton of cash each year by not paying for 150+ channels that I don't watch. I seriously only watch 1-2 shows on regular TV (which I can get with digital antenna) and I just have the subscription service to get me the ESPNs, NFLN and CBSSN (along with some other select sports channels). A la carte TV is the way to go.

Re: the passports. The administrative staff asked the players to get their passports squared away much earlier in the season. Some guys (mine was in this group) probably already had one and some probably did not. Some might have had one but it would be expiring soon so they had them renew. That being the case, I don't think the tweet from Camara indicates any behind the scenes information as to which bowl the Zips may get invited. Rather, I think it's the case, as @kreed5120 mentioned, that they're planning for all contingencies.
