Ohio still has to play Buffalo too. Never know what the other team is going to do so you just have to win the ones they put on your schedule.
-
sounds good.
-
gotcha.. so prob no replay. I won't be able to do the personnel grouping data collection in that case. If someone finds it online somewhere, please let me know so I can re-watch and compile that data.
-
was the game on ESPN3? Reason I ask is that last week, ESPN3 took a day to post the replays but like @zipsoutsider just mentioned, I think the game was on CBSSN and I don't think they do replays like ESPN3

Congrats to the Zips. BIG win. Woody had some throws I'm sure he wants back but he found a way to keep digging and came up clutch. Congrats to him for: Senior QB Thomas Woodson (Monroeville, Pa.) went 21-of-29 and threw for a season-high 291 yards and all three touchdowns. He moved into second place on Akron's career passing chart and now has 6,834 yards (second to Charlie Frye). Woodson is also second in career passing touchdowns with 53.

Agreed. Need to be more agressive in attacking the receiver once he catches it
-
I think three are some good pieces there.
-
Certainly could use some more energy. Not sure what to do about the run game. Looks like there are creases and just not hitting them.
-
Scared of the deep speed. That’s the hallmark of bend don’t break. Keep it all in front of you.
-
Nice meeting you guys today. Not sure how long you guys will stay after but we’ll swing by after we visit our player after the game if you’re still in the lot. Thanks for having us over before.
-
Headed over.
-
Ok Zips fans. We just pulled into lot 9. Getting my cold weather socks on. Who’s here?
-
OK all you tailgaters - send me some pics of y'all so I can pick you out of a lineup or tell me where you'll be so momma and I can come say hi tomorrow. We'll be driving up in the AM so hopefully we get up and out in time to meet up with some of you. Go Zips!!
-
Looks good, @Dr Z I'm rather handy with excel too but I'll let @LZIp play around with it some. I could do the calculations and whatnot but he may be better with pulling out the data into a chart/pivot table/etc. I like the idea of a main tab plus tabs for each game.

awwww, c'mon.... who doesn't want a large chunk of turf covered concrete for Christmas? Could make them in 2" cubes, add some string, and call them ornaments... We should buy the whole damn lot of concrete and do this ourselves as a fundraiser!!

I'm pretty sure I can figure it out. I was using classic HTML formatting but the output looks nothing like I was expecting (bordered table) so obviously the backend is doing something different than expected. I just saw the preview icon in the toolbar so I'll play around with some tables and see what I can do for next week. Warning for next week - I'm not going to be listing the players' #s that are in on each play (too time consuming)
-
We ran 10 personnel 29 times in the game (many once the outcome was decided but not all) 11 personnel 22 times 12 personnel 8 times 21 personnel 2 times 5 Wide 3 times Wildcat 1 time
-
I'll have to work on the format. Created an HTML table but the spacing/alignment is wonky
-

I have watched a lot of Oklahoma football this season to keep my eye on #9 so I've seen Baker Mayfield play a lot. He's a freaking gamer. He's listed at 6'2" so not your prototypical NFL QB size wise but he's tough, unflappable, smart, and accurate. No way he goes #1 unless he crushes the Combine and interviews.

Woe is me over here with the condo in Miami... Hey, by the way, how many can that condo sleep?
-
Hadn't seen this posted yet. Coach Bowden's Press Conference from today:
-
Hey @Dr Z - Was not able to get the personnel grouping data we were discussing. I could not pause the ESPN3 feed and barely had time to get the positions let alone time to jot down player #s I initially thought ESPN3 would not have the replay available but I've just found that. I may have time tomorrow to work on that. If so, I'll post in in the Toledo game thread once completed and give you a shout/mention.
-
Would have loved to score going in and then score coming out of half... That would induce a little butt pucker factor on the Toledo side for sure. Again, I like our guys' FIGHT. They aint done yet!!
