This definitely could be, but it also makes me curious on why Baker left. I assumed it was because he wasn't going to play here, but if he was any good at all, he would've played on this team. Maybe he wasn't/isn't? Or maybe there were fit issues? I don't know, obviously. It's something severely lacking on this team, though. Hopefully Brisco can play.

I thought Okonkwo would have a bigger impact, but I absolutely worried about the frontcourt beyond him. That's not Lyles' strength and never has been and Harris plays like a wing. I figured Baker would fill that role and when he transferred out, was pretty stunned they didn't bring anyone else in. You never know who was/wasn't available, but I would've taken a shot on another big as opposed to Seth Wilson, who I think has a skill set that was a bit redundant on this roster.

Why did Harris miss today?

Has Senderoff ever had control of his team? But, then again, he did seem to start it all.

Keeping up with the Three D's (Dambrot, Dru & Duquesne)

Akron didn't have a coaching change. I guess that's where I'm confused. -

...and in the Dambrot/Dru/Duquesne thread. I said, "Of the 8 players who averaged at least 15 MPG on last year's Duquesne team, 6 were seniors and are now gone, including their top 2 scorers." And you said "Now do Akron" Do Akron how? -
I was pretty surprised he transferred. Even if Amani looked better over time, it's not like we couldn't use another big on this year's roster. It made me wonder if the coaches didn't feel Baker was as good as they originally thought.

What does Akron have to do with it? -

I was thinking this too. I initially thought at the game he was going to miss some time and certainly didn't think he'd be back in that game. That thud was loud when he hit the floor. -

I dont think this is fair, personally. Groce, an experienced and winning coach, went 14-18 in his first year at Akron. There's a transitional period for most programs when there's a coaching change. Let's give Dru some time before we insult his credentials. -

Seth Wilson is shooting 15.8% (3-19) on 3 pointers. He shot 37.9 and 41.5 respectively his previous two seasons at WVU, so I'm hopeful this is just early season rust while adapting to a new team. Only MMK has played less minutes among rotation players. -

It will be interesting to watch the transfers as the season unfolds. So far, it's been mixed results. Okonkwo looks more like a rotational big than a difference maker. Wilson has been really underwhelming and barely played today. Hardman looked the best he has so far today. Same with Gray. Harris looked like our best player in the first two games and hasn't played as well the last 2. It's very early and they need time, so I'm hoping to see them all continue to settle in as the season progresses and they get more. Rebounding/interior defense is going to be a problem against team with any kind of size, which I think may ultimately limit this team's ceiling, but hopefully I'm wrong. -

I know I'm screaming into the void and but our gameday experience is worse than some high school games I've been to. Another night with one concession stand open. Very little happening during timeouts. No energy or effort. The only people that will want to come back are us diehards who will be there no matter what. So frustrating... -

I think the schedule was fine. There's some good tests and quality opponents mixed in. I also think there's some truth to some teams just not being willing to schedule us. I do think it's interesting that KD was often criticized for nonconference scheduling and it's been about the same under Groce. -

I think some have used it as a running gag to make fun at others over a previous disagreement on here. If that wasn't your intent, I apologize. I agree completely. A lot of different paths they could've taken. -

I wish they would've done a weekend ticket or a multi-game discount of some kind. Would've been nice to see some creative marketing for this. -

So has the backup big thing. -
I have heard KD will be in an advisory role (and may already be). But I am also skeptical on GVH as AD.

This would seemingly allow Freeman to get back to the wing role they wanted him in originally.
