How are you guys feeling about the MACs chances tomorrow? We’re currently up 2 in the challenge at 7-5. The SBC has become very top heavy since the last time we saw them, I think it’ll be a bit closer than some think. We just need to go 6-6 to win the challenge. Does it matter? No but I like to have fun with my rooting interests for a day. Root for every MAC team!

I’m not sure. I think it’d be pretty high stakes if the winner of the MAC-SBC got a higher seed. But unfortunately I doubt the voters would really care unless the mac just dominated tomorrow.

Friday games > Saturday Games theres only 3 games tonight it’s the best way to get national viewing. At least we’re on ESPN 2 tomorrow still

Why he’d stay: He seems to love Akron and the zips His kids go to Ohio schools with his oldest playing for revere Hes under contract til 2030 at about 600K a year He’s got a great recruiting class coming in Great alumni who support him at Akron and stay connected with the team Seems to have a decent relationship with the AD. Considering the extension Seems like he prefers the mid major level and the smaller scale compared to when he was a coach in the Big 10 Why he’d leave: Bigger money from a P5 or higher mid major Little to no chance of a new arena. A renovated arena at best Will be coming off his best team ever full of seniors with high character and potentially an nba draft pick Proven ability to keep players from leaving through the portal as well as getting people from the portal to come to Akron I’m in the middle with Groce. I’m still leaning to him staying and maybe that’s just the bias but overall my mindset is enjoy one game at a time. Cause this season is amazing and I want to enjoy every second of it

I do wanna say I really liked how the MAC did our scheduling. In conference play we faced every team 1 time and then face the SBC team. Then we basically get a bye week before the last 7 games of MACtion. Seems like a really nice system if they continue this challenge

Personally I have no ill will to Ohio State. I grew up watching with my dad despite him also being an Akron alum. The interest is different though. Never feels like Akron and OSU are in the same division with how little they interact. So I still wear the gear and root for them to win the natty in football and try to be competent at basketball lol. Akron is better than OSU this year Im convinced on that.
