    I also enjoy this type of game because it gives younger players time to develop. I’d love to see the seniors resting around the 10 minute mark in the second. Let tavari and Nate run the offense with Evan Wilson and Lyle’s getting minutes

    Groce had a great interview on the post game show. Groce was talking about how great the atmosphere was today in the JAR and really had a great talk promoting this team. It’s his oldest team and he thinks it will be his best if they reach there potential

    I will say it does feel a bit deeper this year outside of the 3 Michigans and maybe Buffalo. Miami and Bowling Green look a tad better. Meanwhile you still have regulars in Akron, KSU, Ohio, Toledo, and Ball State. Maybe I’m just optimistic but it doesn’t feel like a 3 team race like last year

    I see it differently. The more Kent wins the more satisfying it is when we beat them. “The bigger they are the harder they fall” type. It’ll be a great look for the MAC if the top teams dominate in this challenge

    Ohio did make it out with the win but just like the post above they have some flaws. The heavy full court defense lead to nearly all of the starters having 4-5 fouls. With at least one getting fouled out. Curious to see how they develop

    Captialism ruins all. Enjoy it while it lasts. This Akron team on paper could win the whole NIT. Honestly they could still make it if they are high enough in the NET rankings but most years we’d have no shot. A mid major title will still be cool but not the same as the Cinderella stories

    Tonight begins the Battle for the Belt. The new challenge put in place by the Sun belt and MAC. We need to root for all the MAC teams (even the thunder bolts) to help boost the MAC in the March Madness and CBI rankings. Troy vs Ohio tonight and KSU tomorrow. We have a thread for us and the rest are Saturday. Fly the flag🏴‍☠️

    Promote the crap out of this game! This isn't Point Park this is a legitimate AQ contender coming into Akron on Friday. Trying to get a group together to go with the students at my work. We will see how that turns out!

    SDSU has only lost 9 games at home in this coaches tenure. Make it 10. We didn’t even play that clean today and freeman was doubled the entire night. Still got it done. Love it

    Bradley beat UAB today. They look to be a really tough opponent for us this year. Will need a big crowd
