  1. This is the "Google" write up about the college that Buchanan came from: The Western Mustangs football team competes in Ontario University Athletics (OUA), which is part of the U Sports organization in Canada, not the NCAA. They play at the highest level of Canadian university football (formerly known as CIAU). Wikipedia Conference: OUA (Ontario University Athletics) National Organization: U Sports Location: London, Ontario, Canada They are historically one of the most successful programs in Canadian university football. I don't know anything about the level of competition he faced but to compare: Buchanan 6'1 245 lbs in 11 games 30 solo tackles 34 assisted Cooper 6'2 225 lbs in 11 games 27 solo tackles 39 assisted Summers 6' 225 lbs in 10 games 24 solo tackles 30 assisted Can't really complain about Tibs success with LBs though..
  2. Not exactly a "Portal Departure" but Defensive Line coach Leonard has departed for Marshall university. I don't know if they have named a new d line coach yet or not but I don't certain players are going to be getting 700 snaps this upcoming season
  3. any Zips from last year doing the combine next week??? Dewalt is the only I remember mentioning that something about draft eligible? It would fun to watch if there was anyone
  4. @zipsfb posted on Instagram today. A picture of football players added to the zip's team and said that there are 26 players added to the new spring roster doesn't say if they are scholarship players only or if it includes walk on players, but it does say that there are 26 new players added to the team.
  5. so ridley and duncan played together at pasadena community college in 24. i don't know about snaps comparison but here are their stats.... duncan from his last year there in 24 and ridley in 25 Duncan 6'2 220 Ridley 6'3 260 10 solo. 32 solo 5 assisted 15. assisted 4 sacks. 1.5 sacks 1 fumble rec. 1 fumble rec both played 10 games.
  6. I'm guessing now that school is started and a couple weeks in that we will not be getting any college age commits until the end of the semester right? nobody would be able to start school this late i don't think? I could see getting some very late high school senior commits but it wouldn't make sense to get to get any commits from anyone right now in the portal that could not attend college or am I way off on this thinking? I remember last year laventure, duncan, and brown came at the beginning of june so i am kind of expecting the same. Not that it is necessarily a bad thing cause it will give the returning freshman the whole semester to get their feet wet and see what the have before any new blood comes in.
  7. yeah you might be right. I did not catch that about the offer to play part.
  8. He posted this the exact same day???? 100% committed? The two posts are back to back???
  9. new tight end, Wyatt Hook, is on campus so both of the new guys are here. That should pretty much complete the offense. hopefully they get that chemistry rolling right away...
  10. josiah Graham most likely played for leonard at monmouth or they probably have connections there from when leonard coached there but Graham has offers at Troy, James Madison, and Hawaii mcGowan committed to Louisiana Monroe on January 18 according to 247. Byndon and Ridley are similar in size armstrong is listed at 6'6 and one site has him at 260 and one site has him at 280. If i read correctly it said something about him playing tight end in 23 or 24 so maybe he is athletic also?
  11. that's great for McManus. He was very well liked by the players. JRod really knows his stuff. I have never met him but the way his players transferred this year to Programs is a heck of a recruiting platform...
  12. that game was freaking awesome ... so exciting to watch good football wasn't invested either way just wanted to watch a good exciting game and got it. some great plays. the fourth down play that mendoza scored on was awesome and that charlie becker is one heck of a wr... whatever teams get fletcher and toni are gonna studs in the future too..: great championship game
  13. keshawn hayden is the one that backed out of the zips and chose eastern kentucky... i was looking at this cam williams. his agent says that he has 10 FBS offers and he will be announcing soon. He lists 6'5 the school site has him at 6'3 both have him at 250... decent stats at atlanta clark. offers i saw were Troy, akron, memphis, eastern carolina, middle tennessee state, coastal carolina, western kentucky, jax state i dontknow if all those r fbs but those r the offers i saw on his site... so we shall see. he looks like a tackle. looks very thick.
  14. So Texas Tech got Miami of Ohio edge rusher, Kent State edge rusher and Akron's own Julien Laventure.... seems crazy
  15. that's crazy... he was introduced to zips d line last night....
  16. chase brown is gone apparently
  17. no offense by any means, but that would be a long shot by Texas considering Boz didn't do a whole lot at a group five school. I wish him well not gonna bash him at all but you have to admit it is a very surprising move today the very least...
  18. New edge rusher commit from central michigan Keshawn Hayden 6'3 250 according to PFF ranked 539 which was higher than Durham on 261 snaps though to be fair Durham had 699. He was third in Centrals rotation.
  19. Markus Boswell committed to University of Texas. Dad graduated from there is an olympic high jumper. wish him luck. Didn't see that one coming ...
  20. elijah alexander is committed and on campus
  21. he had a lot of offers coming out of college. the players really liked him and from what i heard he was a hard worker. I think schools were scared because of his height but i was impressed and i thought he did very well and stepped up to the challenge for the most part.
  22. McManus entered the portal today. I was hoping to have one more year but wish him lots of luck. I think he has a very bright future ahead of him.
