  1. Start time was finally announced today as 3:30 pm.... for those of us planning on making the trip and trying to plan it out.
  2. it has dropped to -12.5... I'm not a gambler so I'm trying to figure out what the catch is... assuming that the oddsmakers have to know that CB got hurt and White got hurt AND Abor did not finish the game I agree with 1991, I would think the spread would be going the opposite way dramatically. are they trying to trick people into thinking that the Zips really have that big of a chance all of the sudden and they want more people to bet on UNLV???
  3. UMASS is #11... Serious question - is this because of a weak 3 game schedule or are they actually good? I have not seen anything they have done...
  4. early spread has UNLV -13.5
  5. whistles hadn't blown. that was a cheap 15 yard penalty. i guess welcome to the big 10
  6. it looked like he bobbled it was the the reason ??
  7. abor is done. no shoulder pads
  8. I like how we had first and goal with the nine and got hit with two bullshit 15 yard penalties that killed a momentum that really sucked. at least here at the stadium, they look like complete bullshit. I don't know what they look like on replay but here they look like they should've never been called.
  9. starting to rain here now cb isn't coming back today i don't think. he was in the tent for a long time came out right before the end of half
  10. their qb does not run the ball. if it does rain here like the app says cb's legs could be a huge asset i think. this might be one of those games where it is just a run it down your throat from both teams... from the minnesota forum their side is calling for them to start running the ball more which i am surprised they don't with that massive line ... i like how teams have to worry about cb going outside and taking it which opens up those dump passes. cb is so dangerous. i do wish he would throw it sometimes but he is being himself and that will come. come on zips keep it close make them sweat and doubt themselves and get that upset !!!!
  11. it's a drizzle here now and now they're calling for rain the entire game. I don't know if that's gonna help us or hurt us.
  12. this site has minnesota offensive line as #4 in all of D1. i knew there were good but didn't know they were ranked that high...
  13. as of today gophers -23.5. i think zips can cover this. i'm hoping the game is close and competitive to build some confidence for the guys going into unlv. the o line of minnesota is massive and makes me nervous though. especially with our line already banged up. this is definitely a very good test and personal chance for guys to step up and show what they got
  14. it looks like in the comments the decision will be made next week?
  15. I bet NOBODY had this preseason ranking after two weeks !!!
  16. I'm invested in the team this year. I'm an optimist always trying to find the bright side. I was excited when they got Reese and wanted to see the gunslinger with the experience, but I knew the potential that CB had. After two games of seeing CB at the helm, I'm impressed. This kid has stepped in and to me has shown that he has poise and is extremely accurate, he has gotten lucky a couple times with some missed interceptions but I'll take it, and his elusiveness his a huge asset. I wish sometimes he would learn to throw the ball away but he is playing his game and it is exciting. When CB gets comfortable I know he can drop dimes 30-40 yards he just hasn't shown it yet and the way he has been using Elijah it's only a matter of time til the deep balls start opening up. Roggow coming off the bench looks like he is the man when he walks out there. It is like he is coming on the field like he is the starter from the very first second he steps on the field. That confidence is amazing and he looks good. I think we are going to be in a good spot come conference time with these two. I KNOW we are going to be big underdogs the next two weeks but I am hoping the stars line up and maybe, just maybe we can pull off at least one upset and shock the world. I think that would be amazing. There are some exciting young players on this team that are fun to watch when they are on the field. I thought twice we were gonna score on special teams this week. Patrick looks like he is always a step or two from taking it to the house. Now I'm always waiting for Dante to lay someone out from the linebacker spot or waiting for Abor to get that highlight blindside sack to cause the fumble. Wake Forest was rough but it was the FIRST game for A LOT of very young players and like someone pointed out earlier they did not quit, ever and they got a lot of experience. As long as they continue to improve the next two weeks conference play should be fun and competitive. Minnesota and UNLV have not looked like that super teams that I thought they were going to be, albeit they have not been playing MAC teams, but like I said I am hoping we can at least one upset...
  17. too bad we didn't play couple of these other teams this year !!!
  18. Apparently the Zips game is NOT being shown on the big 10 network now they are showing the PSU game? I'm making the long haul but hope it is on espn +
  19. I stand corrected, I didn't think he played. Up to the game I saw it was unknown and I should have known better to ASS U ME that he would not be playing. That kid is good...
  20. I googled it out of curiosity and it is said that it still had not been announced however this popped up on gametime https://gametime.co/college-football/rebels-at-zips-tickets/9-25-2026-akron-oh-info-cision-stadium/events/69c2f17e0c445ceb7d500267 showing that you can purchase tickets and that the game is set for an 8 pm kickoff which is not even the right day because it says that it is September 25 which is Friday? The New York Times says that the game time is Saturday the 26th at 1 pm... that sounds more realistic at least...
  21. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdPaQZtiKPu/?stkn=dmRsdDJlazF4bXZ3 Very cool way to close the chapter on this. I was at the game with my family. Other than the three thousand media commercials i thought it was a good atmosphere. Marty was a celebrity and it seemed like the entire Akron fan base bought into it. A view Marty chants broke out now and then and he was even walking throughout the stands and interacting with the fans. Im old and a softy now but I am so glad that Marty won this now because after all of this I am sure it meant more to this man than some celebrity that would have came in got the attention and left never to think of the Zips again.
  22. unlv lost 44-6 to north texas Unlv had 203 passing and 98 rushing... ( unlv qb arnold was -11 rushing he usually is a good rusher) *** unlv gave up 4 sacks
  23. Minnesota lost 38-13 to Miss state minnesota had 279 yards passing and only 13 yards rushing... ((would have been a whopping 26 if not for negative 1 and negative 12 by two players)
  24. WF through 2 1/2 quarters lopez has thrown for 181 yards and that is without their stud wr that got put out last week with that vicious hit
  25. wake forest is putting it to purdue 20-10. maybe they are going to be a decent team?
