The bad thing about this game is that I do not beleive that anyone observing this game can possibly think that either one of these teams can beat Bowling Green, which is what we need. We need help from N. Ill to beat BG this Sat.

The game scares me. Mostly, as I have stated in other threads, up and down QB play and some HORRIBLE RED ZONE PLAYING CALLING.

It does not help that: 1.) You have had some absolutely horrible offensive red zone play-calling. 2.) CJ's up and down play. Especially on deep throws.I think that the two items are related. With his play, perhaps causing the coaching staff to out-smart themselves in the red zone - lack of confidence in him.

I voted for a combination. But hey, sometimes a game can come down to one play despite that. A reverse at the four yard line when you needed two yards for FIRST DOWN!!!!!!!!. Especially when you consider the fact that DK was over 100 yards rushing at that point and was on his way to a carrer game. I stated to several people that this was THE GAME OF THE YEAR. MAC East title is a long shot now.

Just got back from the game. People, I just do not know where to begin with this. Up 7 at the half. We go down and only get 3 to start the second half . Get the ball back. Get deep in BG territory AND WE RUN A TRICK PLAY ON THIRD AND 2 FROM THE FOUR YARD LINE!!!!!! Kennedy was having a great game. If you don't want to run straight adhead with him, even a pass play would have been better than another reverse.Then late, we get the ball back again, up 13 at our own 20 and go 3 and outGoing into this game, I firmly believed that a win tonight, and we would have had an exellent chance to win the East. Now it is a very long shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I voted toss-up. The Zips offense still is inconsistent, with CJ and the running game. If both are clicking, it will be a shoot-out, since BG can indeed score a great deal with their weapons. Unfortunately, the Zips do not, as is many times the case,put pressure on QBs they are facing. This fact, could hurt us, especially when you consider that BG loves to pass. Just my take. GO ZIPS!!!!!!!!!

CJ's play definitely needs to improve. It does not help that he gets nervous due to the high snaps. But that is understandable. The loss of Alex Allen has hurt our running terribly. Kennedy is strictly a between the tackles runner. A good running game , always of course, helps to put a QB's mind at ease. Don't know how much the eventual return of Johnson will help.

I understand the pros and cons of moving to the big east. But FIRST WE MUST START WINNING CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN FOOTBALL,BASKETBALL, BASEBALL ect. IN THE MAC on a consistent basis!!!! Then think about moving on. Just my take.

Over at ay-ziggy-zoomba, most of what they are saying is they expect to hammer us on Saturday. Apparently thinking that the loss to E.Mich was because the Falcons just did not come to play. I listened to game on 1420 A.M. The BG announcers stated that BG defense was not even coming close to E. Mich QB Schmidt. I wonder if they come of the bus blitzing CJ.

Schmidt is back. I listened to most of the game on 1420(WHK). The BG announcers stated that the D line had not been able to touch him or put any pressure on him all day.

Final from BG: E.MIch 24 BG 21 The Eagles took the ball at their own 24, with approx 1:30 left and scored a TD with 33 seconds left. They only had one time out left when they started the drive, AND DID NOT HAVE TO EVEN USE IT ON THE DRIVE!!!!!. BG missed 53 yard fg at the gun.

You can look at several ref calls and plays in the game that determined the outcome. For me , if I had to pick ONE PLAY, it was roughing the Cincy punter in his own endzone!!! Bad play, but even worse, as a coaching staff, you do not put a player in a position to make that critical mistake in such a key situation.

I follow the Zips in baseball. They are picked for fourth in the MAC East.

Cuse throws away a 22 point second half lead at HOME!!!! Worse than what the Zips did on the road!!!!

I agree 100%. But when you miss open shots in the paint and miss 15 free throws, you will lose no matter what defense you play!!!!
