  1. And Z.I.P. is as old guard as they come.
  2. Yep, that Weis, Ianello, Powlus connection has really helped them. Lost to Rice, destroyed by TCU in their first Big-12 game and go to NIU this week. Hope the Huskies tear them a new one. I believe NIU wins this one by two touchdowns. The curse of Ianello lives on.
  3. In honor of seeing Bruce Springsteen at Nationals Park last night, I deem Conor Hundley the "Wrecking Ball". :-)
  4. Nice way to come back for a touchdown on the first drive after losing one on a holding penalty. They just said Williams is only two TD's behind Matt Barkley. Man, I hate that we only get him for one year.
  5. Perhaps it just stood for Numerous Bricks Ahead?
  6. For those of you that didn't see the game on ESPN3, the announcer they chose could give Joe a "No doubt about it" run for his money.
  7. Thanks a lot AJ Fox, you couldn't have hung around for one more year.
  8. Can't ask for much more, with the ball and a chance to win it at the end of the game.
  9. Nice job of going for 2.
  10. Complete implosion here in the last few minutes (sigh).
  11. YESSSS!!!!
  12. This has to be overruled - that's a TD!
  13. What does the bigger number on Akron's side mean? Wow! BELIEVE!!! Also loved the little trick play with the O-Line.
  14. Sometimes its better to be lucky AND good.
  15. Even better, from the "waiting list" section, Can't State's sense of direction.
  16. We've been playing football for over 100 years longer than they have and we're 23.5 point underdogs (sigh). They should point that non-starting DE in the direction of their basketball team. They could probably use him more.
  17. I adapted this from a presidental joke. When Ianello got the job, he received three envelopes from JD Brookhart and was told open the first at the first crisis, the second at the second crisis and the third at the third crisis. After starting 0-10 he opened the first, and it said "blame it on your inexperience" and he did and people decided he should get another year. He opened the second after the Gardner-Webb game and it said "blame it on the previous coaching staff" and he did and people said maybe the cupboard was bare and he continued on. He finally opened the third after finishing 1-11 for the second consecutive year. It said "Prepare three envelopes" ...
  18. Absolutely f***** stolen. That blew. Hard enough to win on the road against a good team without adding a terrible call on top of it. Zips dominated both overtimes. They deserved better.
  19. Absolutely on side. Someone should kindly explain to the AR that it's where the player is when the ball is KICKED, not where he receives it. Dammit, that was stolen!!! If there is any soccer god justice, the Zips win this one in the second OT.
  20. Sudden death OT. C'mon Zips - kill them.
  21. Still want him pulled out?
  22. So is a major team only football and basketball? Soccer is the third best attended sport at the university and I'd say the students do an excellent job supporting them. If football catches fire (in the Bowden sense, not the Ianello sense), I'm sure the students will come out in droves.
  23. Was nice to see a little chippiness from Meves on a save. The announcers said the goal was the result of excellent positioning. I think he was just lucky. :-) C'mon Zips!
  24. Some sort of country band on right now.
