I've seen a few non-sequiturs today, but that might be the best one.

I lean a little more towards Basketball State than Pomeroy.

They also do a lot of correct things. Point is, Pomeroy is good at what he does.

Exactly! Akron consistently finds a way to score or at least get an open shot at crunch time in Cleveland every year because Dambrot doesn't know what he's doing! Wait...

I have a lot of respect for Sagarin, but I have to disagree strongly with his ratings. Who thinks Conference USA is better than anyone?

I think Akron has a solid chance of winning this week. CMU has had tough opponents, but I don't think they're that good. As far as the discussion of how the conference breaks down goes, all I'll say is this: As a whole, the MAC is as good as it's been since Game Day came to Bowling Green. It's the best non-AQ conference in the country. That's pretty cool.

Not that I think Ohio deserves to be in the top 25, but Ohio moved up a few places last week after a not-impressive win over Buffalo. So it could very well happen.
