As long as the Zips make shots, they'll be fine. But if they don't, EMU will sit in that 2-3 zone all day, slow the game to a crawl, and make it very painful.
Yes and no. Of course, the "W" or "L" is what matters most, but margin of victory is one of the best indicators of quality out there. Teams that win convincingly are more likely to keep winning than teams that eek out wins. Buffalo leads in this category with Akron and OU behind them.
Orlando Williams was all but dismissed from the program and Allen Roberts and Bill Edwards both went down for the season. That's three of their top four right there. I doubt Mavunga makes it all the way through the season. They have a walk-on freshman in the rotation.
I'd say Jones came pretty close: 25 points on 9-16 shooting ant 9 boards. But, like I said, Jones was the only one that had a good game. Sometimes you let the star get theirs and shut the rest of the team down.
You're right, that's a mistake. The real number is... 66, I think. I sent a correction in.
And I don't even want to think about EMU-Miami. EMU and UT didn't combine for 80.
It's certainly not a wide gap between 5 and 6, but I do think Ball State is still better right now... and they had only dropped one home game when I wrote it.
Eastern beat Western, so they're ahead for now.
Yes, please don't associate me with this. I really don't get Schinaki's thinking. I also don't think Quickzips gives Ohio's defense enough credit, but that's for another time.
