That picture is an eye opener for me. As someone who has only ever seen Zeke on the BB court, where everyone is big, to see him next to "standard" sized people is quite amazing: HE IS ONE BIG SON OF A GUN.

I hear you, but in the interest of fairness, on the replay he was not even looking at Porrini. Basically, Porrini ran into his elbow. I just can't stomach a call like that against anyone, especially when it causes an ejection. It is not like he was fighting or tackled the guy or threw a punch. Just like the cheap fouls they always call on Zeke.

EXCEPT: I think the league office will have something to say about ejecting their most important (?) player on a crap call. AND They could have won that game without the ejection Which means This one could come back to bite US in the ass. Personally, I would rather have faced WMU and have Stainbrook ejected against US.

Watching the WMC/NIU game. While Stainbrook is not half the athlete that Zeke is (and not as tall) he is a monster physically. What I notice is that he stays in the paint on defense, boxes out, and grabs A LOT of rebounds. Food for thought.

Tree might have been a better choice. He made some key buckets and rebounds. But it does not matter, he WILL have his glory days.

If he is defensive POY it is hard to see how he is not all conference.

So far, ALL the lower seeded teams LOST to all the higher seeded teams. I hope this is not a trend because we are the LOWEST seeded team!

Maybe with our performances the last 6 years the MAC is trying to send us a message. There certainly have to be some folks upset that we go to the championship game year after year after year.

We really got (WON) the better bracket. The only team in our bracket that seems to pose a serious threat in the semis is Can't, and we beat them twice this year. I hope BGSU goes all the way to the final. I would much rather face them (OR ANYONE) than Buffalo. We just don't seem to match up against them. I suspect that KD is spending the week trying to devise some schemes to beat Buffalo. We already know how to beat every one else, including OU, notwithstanding the massacre last week.

I think the title game could be Zips-BG They almost nailed us, and they almost nailed Buffalo. They could come alive and run the table right into the finals. Those EMU guys are nuts. They are not beating Can't

Yes, but on his drives of late he does not have a path to the basket and he is not possessed of the brute strength of Tree and Nik to just force his way in. He needs to use finesse (which I know he has) rather then just trying to push his way and travel or get blocked. They are just sitting there waiting for that. If he gets a step on the defender he is gold, but he is not getting that step. He is not the type of player to back in like Nik does, he is the type of player to slash and jump his way in. You need a lane or you get the charge. Teamwork and movement, he needs to learn that.

We are on the same page, and compare him to what AA does. Harney probably has better moves than AA, and for sure he is close to a foot taller. But as point guard, AA moves people around, dribbles and moves, and creates space to get by people to the hoop. And most of the people defending him are a lot taller. Harney has the moves, but he also faces guys who are his size and speed. He needs to learn to create that space, and that is where the teamwork comes in. Even Lebron has four other guys on the court with him. I doubt he could play 1 on 5 and win, even against a high school team. AND I think that for next season KD has to draw up plays that open up a lane for AA or Harney to make them more effective. This year has been a huge transition for Akron. We traditionally succeeded by hitting a lot of threes, this year most of our success has come in the paint - and not with the big guy either. AA is a scoring threat anytime he has the ball, which of course is most of the time. Harney, Tree and Walsh represent that same threat. Walsh is there now, Harney and Tree need more work. Tree has the size and brute strength to force inside (somewhat like the Serb), Harney is kinda skinny and needs moves rather than brute force. But when we are on, we are amazing inside and on fast breaks. More of the same please.

Without a doubt Zeke and AA should be co-MVP. Which is interesting. The biggest guy on the team and the smallest guy on the team.
