By the way, going forward, I think we will see a lot from Walsh. He is a true major-major player, and I still can't believe we got him. The way he flies through the air for bounds and hits off balance layups is something we rarely see at Akron. And he has good basketball sense, making few mistakes. He will probably be our MVP before he graduates, and depending on minutes, will probably make all-MAC. He and Tree both have huge talent, the difference right now is that he has his under control and plays to the max, Tree still needs more basketball experience. At times he looks awkward and out of place - and at other times he looks like NBA material. His development, paired with what Walsh can show now, should give us a couple more great years.

OK, so he gets COY and KD gets the trophy. That is much better than the other way around. Like Tom Coughlin did not get NFL COY. He just got the Lombardi Trophy. Guess which he would rather have?

I had to go with Alex. He is our most complete player. If he was 6'6" he would be going on to the NBA. Of course, if pigs had wings..... Zeke is great, and he is the other key to our success. I am not sure we could win without BOTH of them. But I go with Alex because he does more with less.

The problem is that he does not work with his teammates to get a path to the hoop. He just thinks he can do it all himself. He has great moves, but again, he is playing against DI players like Greene and Porrini and Watt. They are pretty darn good too. He just does not seem to have bought into the concept of teamwork.

I think the third team would beat the first team. Watt and Pearson were super this year, can't fault that. But Greene and Porrini third team? No way. Anyway, all that really counts is who wins. 13-3 MAC CHAMPIONS

Harney plays like he is still in the schoolyard where he is the biggest and best player and he can just go to the hoop at will. He needs to learn that he is NOT the biggest player, at this point NOT the best, and Div I hoops is a team effort.

I am so glad they woke up in the second half. Where have they been for the last 3.5 games? THIS is the team we were loving until the fall. Harney looked horrible, AA was amazing, Zeke played the game of his life and we lose if he fouls out early. BUT The slam by Tree looked unreal even on TV. It was at superspeed! He is going to be some factor for the next three years.
