  1. And also, why can't they get the audio and video together on one stream?I have to watch from zips zone or channelsurfing, listen from zips zone or 1350, and it is never in synch. This is 2010, technology rules except at Akron it seems.I mean, if it was free, OK, you get what you pay for.IT'S NOT FREE I PAY FOR IT.
  2. If he was playing for us this year we would have a shot at the sweet 16. You heard it here first. Someone that gives us another 15 or 20 points a game with great passing ability. Please, just give us one of those. And only Ohio, Loyola and Cant offered him a scholarship. Seems to me he slipped thru the cracks. NBA talk aside, he is certainly talented enough to play for any college team.
  3. Back in the day we played against Randy Smith at Buffalo State. I'll never forget that game. That guy could leap like no one you ever saw. I knew he was big time talent, and he had a 12 year NBA career.I think I saw some of that in Cooper today. He was amazing for a true freshman, and like the person above said, we will have to face him for three more years......unless.........
  4. They promised not to suspend him?
  5. Nik showed some real athleticism today. He is gonna get better and better. For once, it was not all brute force and I like it!
  6. Yes we got lucky they traveled, but we deserved to win that game we led for most of it...just had some poor play calling and shot choices at the endTo say nothing of that insane call by the refs that blew the whistle for no reason, that was game over at that point if that didn't happen.
  7. The "dude" is a freshman and previously had something like a 29 point game. Next year he will be a terror, and after that who knows...He definately has the moves.Steve French was comparing him to Len Paul. I saw almost every game Len Paul played (he was 6'3" BTW, not the 6'5" they were saying, he just played big) and this guy looks better. That inside move is sweet, and he looks like a dead on 3 point shooter. Wish we had him!
  8. It counts. But I think Ohio plays better than their record.
  9. They will be lucky to get another season out of him the NBA may be calling....
  10. And it came back on for the timeout. Almost 5 minutes gone. Wonderful.
  11. AGAIN the video feed is bad. I am so fed up with this bush league service we get. How do they expect to get fan support and alumni support when they can't even plug the camera in.Funny, this never happens to the feed on the away games.
  12. The FG percentage is misleading.Zeke is SEVEN FEET TALL.Most of his missed shots were DUNKS!!!!He rarely shoots other than layups or dunks.Which is fine. He is SEVEN FEET TALL. He can literally drop the ball into the basket. That is his role for the most part.I am not knocking Zeke. I just think the pct is misleading, since he takes most all of his shots within touching distance (for him) of the bucket. THOSE shots should be 90%+.Seriously, I am most distressed about the several missed dunks I have seen on the video feed. I know he is probably rushing them or slightly out of position, but lets face it, when the 7 footer gets a dunk opportunity, we need 100% of those to go. That improvement alone will win games for us.
  13. Okay, let me get this straight. You have a problem with "lack of control"?Yet..... you appear to be griping about suspensions, which is an indication that policy is being enforced, or at least that anarchy is not going to prevail.Right? First off, let me just say that, philosophically speaking, and sociologically as well, control is an illusion. However, in the sense of maintaining discipline, a suspension is not only an indication that something went wrong, it is also inherently an indication that something is being done to correct it. Since players are human beings and not robots on remote control, no coach is "in control" so to speak. Now, to be fair, I think that what you are suggesting is that KD is being heavy handed, and the suspensions are unwarranted? No, what I am saying is this:These are full scholarship athletes on a Div I team. The coach's job is to motivate them to be good players AND good students AND good citizens. Even the THREAT of suspension means something is wrong. That should be a last resort. Now, a player can stray now and then. Lets face it, Babe Ruth, the greatest ballplayer and probably the greatest pro athlete of all time would have been suspended by KD before he ever got into a game, and RIGHTFULLY SO! He was a bum off the field. But after Humpty was suspended last week, the message should have gotten out. That is did not is partly, if not totally, the coaches fault. I could be the coach and suspend players, that takes no special talent. It is maintaining team and personal discipline WITHOUT imposing sanctions that takes special talent. Can you give any thoughts on how to discipline without suspending, because apparently KD is a complete moron and has no idea. I think KD is a GREAT coach who has taken us much further than I ever imagined. But when TWO starting players have to be suspended within a week, there is a problem. It may be a problem with his leadership, as opposed to his coaching.Whatever they did, it shows a lack of respect for the coach and the program. The coach is supposed to inspire that respect. So there is a problem. As to JD, I don't know what happened with Jaq, but I really like that freshman that stepped in. I think he has a future (hopefully with us).

  15. Well you guys can flame the hell out of me, but I think that a lot of the turnovers are due to the extreme rotation. When people play together a lot, they start to anticipate where they will be. When it's a different player, the anticipation does not work. When Plaxico Burris went out, Mannings new target bacame Domenik Hixon (ring a bell with anyone?). But Burris was WAY taller and had much more reach and leap, and Manning regularly overthrew Hixon. That's what I am getting at.
  16. Uhhhh read the posts tonight...he probably got more props around here than Zeke did.Mcneese stepped up and played very well.Without that last second block by Zeke we lose or go to overtime.Just saying
  17. Pretty good guestimate on my part. Pretty awful turnout for an important game.
  18. Did anyone hear an attendance figure? Watching the video, the place seemed EMPTY, like maybe 500 fans. I know there was bad weather, but still, CMU was 7-3 and leading the west.
  19. exactly, you were right about a win being all we'll remember Which is a hell of a lot better than remembering a loss....
  20. One can only hope. I posted earlier in the game that KD should keep Zeke in.If only I could predict the lottery...
  21. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
  22. For those with no video...That last block by Zeke was HUGE. That put the game out of reach!
  23. ZEKE WON THAT GAME!!!HUGE BLOCK IN CMU LAST POSSESSION.
  24. HUGE BLOCK BY ZEKE
