Let them say whatever they want. After the Zips win Saturday night, some will say we were lucky again because of the shot last night and Can't losing. Those people are typically Cleveland fans who have never won a championship. My favorite professional teams have won a lot of championships in my lifetime and all of them required some luck at some point in the run. Let's take the luck as a blessing and win the championship.When David Tyree made the miracle catch and the lowly Giants came all the way from the wild card to beat the unbeatable Patriots, they put it in the book asGIANTS WIN SUPERBOWLIt ALWAYS takes some luck to go all the way. But in the end all that counts is who goes into the record books as the winner.

I'm more concerned about an emotional let down. After that 3 by McNees, they were flying last night. Gotta keep some of that emotion for today and tomorrow.

I don't get that. The only thing we know for sure is that K-ENT is not going automagically. Other than that, how can they have Akron in the dance yet? Two more tough games to go. Even if we do get by WMU, Ohio and Miami can still play tough.

Zeke Marshall comes of age!I LOVE his more aggressive style of play. Great blocks, kept the zips in the game with his buckets. He's gonna be good in the next 3 years.Overall sloppy game, but DAMN EXCITING

I hope he is just keeping it warm for Zeke for the next three years.

I may be wrong about this, but I recall that Larry Quarles was a JC transfer who had a huge impact for us back in the Len Paul days.

Watching the (UGH) "game" on ESPN last night, I saw the big banner with #20 and the name Len Paul. I saw two other banners near that, but could not read them. I assume these are for retired numbers?If so, who are the other banners for?

There is no NIT for us this year. NCAA or nothing.

It was very disappointing, and at this point I don't think we have a chance. We do great against DIV II and weak Western Div teams. Big deal, that's not going to get us anyplace.But I must say, the shot selection was just so disappointing.

I will be absolutely thrilled at a victory Friday nite and an NIT bid in hand.Instead of crying about a bid to the "inferior" tournament, lets concentrate on WINNING a tournament.

I am really troubled by some of what I read here.The NIT used to be the biggie. The stuff of Bill Bradley. Today it is not. SO WHAT!!!!!To distain an NIT bid for a team like AKRON is just stupid.We ARE NOT a high major.We are really NOT a high mid-major.We are blessed (?) this year to play in an awful league. The MAC West is the doormat for the East. And we have taken full advantage of that fact, bringing in a GREAT conference season!In fact, K-ENT loses just one more game and we don't necessarily even need to win Friday! Too many of you seem to forget that the NIT changed the rules after the Travis-Joyce snub to give an auto bid to a conference winner. After a controversy that made it all the way to the New York Times (Dambrots association with Lebron helped get it there for sure).So how many teams get to the dance? 64 plus the play ins?How many to the NIT?That's all folks, basically everyone else goes home. Play hard, beat K-ENT and put the NIT bid in your pocket. If you win the tourney, GREAT, on to one and done in the big Dance.Personally, I would be GLAD to see the Zips in the NIT again. It is still a feather in their cap to get there. And remember, this is NOT a great team. It's a good team, in a conference where 1/2 the conference had a horrible year. VCU is very very tough at home. I think that is taken into account, as well as the fact that the Zips are known to e tough at home as well.The Zips have done very well on the road, and that is the mark of a good team.

I know that folks here don't agree, but being in the top 100 means a lot.If we beat K-ent, and somehow lose the tournament by a shot at the buzzer, we do have a shot at the Dance, and at least the NIT.And I would rather win the NIT than go one and done in the NCAA. Not that it's going to happen.

Audio is back. I was listening on BG web radio when the 1350 feed went down. It was down from something like 8-4, nothing but continuous commercials on both 1350 and zips zone.
