I watched the Toledo - #16 Kentucy game. Toledo gave them a workout. They are NOT bad at all.

KD is a D1 coach. He was won a lot of games. The fact that most of the wins are against MAC teams does not take away from that. MAC teams have made runs in the Dance. That being said, the willy nilly substitutions need to stop. Pick out the best 5 guys and play them.

Debbie Downer here: Right now they don't look like they can beat the worst team in the MAC. They are a disorganized rabble. Something seems to be wrong with Tree. He just looks like he is going through the motions. They need to cure that before anything good can happen. Maybe he is ill, maybe it is girl trouble, I have no idea, but we know there was an issue a few weeks ago and apparently it is not cured. This year, maybe KD has to abandon his normal rotation and go with just 6 players. They seem to be out of synch, passing the ball where the player is not. Maybe it is just too many guys in the mix for the personnel we have now. They are not playing as a cohesive unit. Time to get back to basics. Passing and shooting free throws. And time to stop pulling the hot player. Deji has probably been playing the best of anyone, along side Q, and he hits a three or blocks two shots and immediately comes out of the game and in goes Jake to miss a few threes. The player with the hot hand has to get the minutes. Melo came in and immediately turned the ball over. No more Melo. He is not a D1 player. Maybe KD needs to take them all out to a house of ill repute or something to get them all working together on the same page.

We look like 5 guys playing a pickup game.

The point is, he has elevated this program into a top shelf mid major that was nationally ranked last year. We lost a couple of non conference games. NOT the end of the world. If we don't make it to Cleveland we can revisit this question.

We lose a couple of games and you guys get all down on the coach. Feh. iCoach won 2 games in 2 years. HAD TO GO. Anyone want to challenge KD's record? He is a coaching GOD. And this is Akron, NOT Kentucky or OSU. Get over it.

Interesting because the Nation is certainly a fan of Tree.

I think Deji has played his way into the lineup. I do not understand why KD sat him down right after he had two straight blocks and a recovery. It appears that he is very athletic and it just took a long time to get his basketball skills in order. We will be seeing a lot more of him.

In the first game Tree pounded it in the middle and got them into foul trouble when they tried to defend him. The next two games we abandoned that game plan and went to taking wild shots all over the place. Instead of playing to our strength we are playing to our weaknesses. Big Dog missed a lot of bunnies. SO did Zeke when he was a rookie. He will be fine down the road. Needs to learn to hold the ball high, just like Zeke was afflicted with. Big guys get the ball taken away and blocked when they play like that. Takes time, he will get it.

The passing is just way too sloppy and Nyles has to have better awareness of where he is and what he is doing.

Missing one layup after another. Sucks.

Deji was playing amazing defense. Should be in the game.
