He was an ace in high school and a great recruit. Don't sell him short. His first appearance may have been rocky, but he is here for a reason. We actually don't have scholarships to throw around, and this team (OK, these two games were like playing a high school, I know) looks like a Top 50 program for sure.

This is my first time really seeing the team this year. Pat F is a monster. He looks like two Zekes. He is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the MAC for four years. This year is going to be really special. We own the boards, and a bunch of these guys can shoot the lights out. Quincy who?

K E N T State has a great team this year. They knocked off a #18 Our guys have played valiantly and with great emotion. But this is like playing OSU or Penn State. K E N T is playing out of their league this year.

So you are saying that if a player is not getting minutes the school can just revoke his scholarship? If the athlete has to commit to the school for four years (and sit out a year for a lateral transfer), the school is obligated as well. Of course, if a student is suspended or expelled for misconduct or academic reasons, that is a different story. But just for not being "good enough"? Sounds like contract law would govern.

What I mean is they can't decide that he doesn't play enough and cancel his scholarship. It is a contract.

And if he chooses to stay they have to keep paying him.

Nonsense. The MAC Tourney is the end all be all. Winner to the Dance, MAC regular season winner to the NIT (if not the same). Just doing well is not enough.
