Reading the comments after the article is ridiculous. I know Bowden isn't in the top tier of coaches, but the one guy is saying he has done nothing here. Obviously going from back to back 1-11 seasons to a bowl game is nothing to this guy.

Something weird is going on at A&M. Rarely do both the starting QB and backup QB transfer at the same time. Very odd. I understand the backup especially seeing that he used to be the starter.

A bowl game against an opponent that we can beat is good. Just being in a bowl game is awesome. I am not sure how anyone can complain......

Why would you want to get embarrassed?

I don't care what bowl Akron plays in. I care more about who they play against. I want an Akron win. Sure a bowl game is great, but getting blown out will suck. I want to play in a game where we can win. Winning a bowl game will do much more for recruiting than just being in a bowl game will.

35-34 final. I was thinking it at 34-14. Bowden sits on a lead. Should have been a blowout.

That game was coach I esque. Other than the Power 5 games, we have at least been competitive. Against BGSU this team didn't deserve to be on the field. So shocked by the defense. That D-Line isn't what was expected. The LB's-meh. Pittman and Marcus have regressed since coming here. Coe doesn't make a lot of plays. Grice is Grice. Does anyone know where Boxen is? Is he hurt and will he be back soon? Not a lot of weapons on offense. 4 years in and we still can't even compete with the better teams in the MAC. Toledo would beat us even worse than BG did. Not sure we can get better than Bowden, especially knowing that anyone better would be gone in a few years anyway. How the hell does Toledo, BG, NIU, etc keep getting their coaches taken by bigger programs yet always find a good replacement?

We are so desperate for a QB that we are excited over a QB that connected on less than 50% of his passes. Yes, I am happy also. Just pointing out how bad the QB play has been the last couple of years. Hopefully with some confidence and experience Woodson will keep improving.
