What in the hell has happened to this team. It is mind boggling how they've regressed since the Pitt game.

Because our SID is terrible. It is near impossible to get any info on this team.

The roster is always a joke. It is never current and is always missing guys. I believe Boxen is still on it though.

Our offense is average, but has 0 playmakers. I truly think if we had a stud WR out there and a running game that people would think Pohl is a better QB than they currently do. Our defense is average. A lot of people think our defense is great because we are used to sucking so bad. When you are used to sucking, an average defense looks good. That being said, I think the defense has kept us in games and gave us chances for wins. You can't really blame a TD caused by a fumbled snap in the EZ against the defense. Momentum is huge in sports. When you are in a tight game and make a boneheaded mistake that results directly in a score, that can screw you up badly.

It may have made them think they are better than they are.

People expected a lot after beating Pitt. That win may have been a bad thing for this team.

And for anyone that hates Pohl and thinks he should be benched. Next year Chapman will be available.(I hope). He is a true dual threat and a stud. Hopefully the staff doesn't take that away from him. He certainly has all MAC talent.

Pohl is a good QB. No, he is not a superstar and not as good as Ray Bentley was talking him up last night. However, if you look at his passes. most were catchable balls in good location. The first int in the end zone was obviously a communication issue. The second one should have been caught. it was in place for the WR to get it. Unfortunately our WR are of high school quality. The Int always goes on the QB stats, but often it is not their fault. The o-line can't block, the running backs don't run, and the WR can't catch. Pohl may not be a superstar, but he is really the least of our worries. He is more than just a game manager. What I am surprised most by is that he never runs anymore. IIRC, he used to be more of a dual threat QB that could run some. Obviously the staff has taken that away.

I feel sorry for Pohl. He has absolutely no support around him.

I hear that the Greys are holding Pohl at their underground city at Dulce Base to keep him from playing. The Illuminati prefers that Woodson plays as he will be welcome in the NWO. Rumor has it that Akron had a layover at the Denver airport and that's when everything changed.

Aaron, The title of the thread was certainly not sarcasm. I thought they played very well and have for most of the season. People look at points given up without realizing how the points were scored. The defense was given crap field position because of an inept offense and turnovers. The defense held most of that to FG's. I am not saying the defense is 1985 Chicago Bears, but anyone that can't see the massive improvement is not watching closely.

Blaming the defense for this loss is simply unfair. They were put in horrible positions by the offense all day and held for the most part.

It's amazing that some are talking about jumping off the bandwagon. Talk about fair weather fans. I get it that this team has sucked forever. However, we are certainly making progress. It may not be fast enough, but seeing where we came from, progress is progress. The thing that is amazing to me is that some that are jumping off are the same ones that criticize others for not supporting this team through the years and complaining about attendance. Sooooo, the true fans, those of us on this board, are giving up, how in the hell do you expect the Akron community to get on board if the loyal fans are leaving? The Browns have sucked forever and they still sell out games. True fans are fans whether you win or lose.

If what GP says is true, Chapman will be the guy next year. Kid is a stud.
