I agree with most of your second rant. The thing you are missing though is that 2 years ago we would have lost all 3 of those games you mentioned. IMHO, that is progress, not enough and certainly not fast enough, but it is progress. I look for next year to be more of a breakout year for Akron. Yea, I know, wait til next year. My biggest concern is that Bowden isn't recruiting at the level I thought he would. He is a known commodity and has the family name. With the facilities we have, Bowden should have Akron in the top 2-3 MAC classes every year.

Watson didn't start. He was brought in after Stout played poorly.

Any word on how serious these injuries are? Are these day to day or are guys out for a while?

I believe in one step at a time. You don't go from perennial sucktitude to marquee wins in 1-2 seasons. I am not happy only winning the Mac. But we have a large talent gap. Winning the conference and making a bowl appearance will do wonders for recruiting. Good recruits will help you become a better team. A better team will help you recruit more talent. Lather, rinse, repeat. I get your point. But we are only a couple years removed from the worst coach in CFB history.

No, I don't blame them. They own the sec network and it's in their best interest. However, for sports fans that just want unbiased and equal sports coverage it sucks. They make it like fox or msnbc, depending on you side of the aisle.

Roflmao. Some of you are so butt hurt and insecure I feel sorry for you. I have said multiple times on here how I think the big 10 sucks. I'm not a fan of the B10 anymore than I'm a fan of the Mac. I root for my teams not the conference. If you guys got rid of your sps and realized not every post is about OSU you would realize espn owns the sec network and pimps that conference non stop. I honestly feel sorry for you guys that have to live with so much hate. My "dig" was towards espn. Not the sec. I understand that wouldn't fit your agenda though. One of the most enjoyable things is reading the hypocrisy from you. You are doing exactly what you accuse others of doing and you don't even see it. Every time I think of Marshall I remember sitting at the Rubber Bowl and watching the offensive lineman carrying Leftwich down the field. That was a great game. I think it was the first game I ever took my son to.

2 weeks to prepare and work on issues learned against psu will be very beneficial.
