This is sad. Hopefully there won't be transfers and we will keep current verbal recruits. With the facilities, talent and recent history, we should be able to lure another top coach. This is what winning teams go through. Sad as it is.

Depth doesn't mean quality. The good thing is there are a lot of young players in the 2 deep. That is a good sign for the future. Agree that TB recognizes the importance of game week...

Akron has improved their coaching..I agree. But to state they have some of the best coaching in the country is a tad obsurd.

Akron needs to surprise to get better. Another 1-2 win season will not help with recruiting. To get good recruits you need to win. Winning helps you get good recruits. It's a circle that has to start this season. We have the coach and the facilities to compete at a very high level. Now the team needs to start winning so that the higher level can get here sooner rahter than later. When you think back, a lot of not all, of our issues were coaching. Now we have a much better HC and overall staff. The future is looking a lot brighter. Now the wins need to start. Akron can surprise and I think they will.

This is kind of a prelim roster it seems. There may still be players waiting on grades, haven't reported yet, etc. The roster in the program guide at the first game is the most accurate.

We lose quite a few players every year. I hate it when we lose guys that were supposed to be contributors. Price, Morris. We need big D-lineman and we lost Morris.

True, but it would be unwise to not let the freshman QB get some real game minutes thoughout the season. He may not be ready from game one, but by the time the MAC season starts he should be getting some meaningful minutes. Please don't let this guy only come in when the game is almost over. We need to develop the next QB for the next 3 years.

Then Klein, the lb, was kicked off too. Klein was a projected starter. One of the Dbacks was a starter and the other in the 2 deep. Don't let facts interrupt your attack.
