Auburn is the dirtiest program out there right now. Just heard an interesting story about Jordan Diamond. A 5* OT that had many major schools in on him. After a visit to a couple of schools, certain schools stopped recruiting him and predicted he would end up at Auburn. Not hard to read between the lines, like old trooper taylor.

Many schools do this. If they have walkons that do contribute and bring something to the table and they have extra schollies that aren't used, they will reward the seniors with the scholly.

PSU is really struggling right now. They are in for a long decade. I wouldn't want any part of that program either if I was an elite prospect. But if my choices were Akron and PSU, PSU would be my choice as a 17-18 year old with no allegiance to either.

You are correct about getting guys that other schools overlooked, but we should be able to get guys that other MAC schools wanted.

Yeah, you are right. That was kind of my point. I know he has to have bodies. I just hope that he is being sure to have his full allottment of schollies next year when it should be much better for him.

I never said that we shouldn't offer anyone. I also don't think we would be under 60 players. As for Chisholm, there are quite a few under the radar recruits every year. But the chances of 1 team getting more than 1-2 is not very good.

I know I will be bashed for this, and I know it takes a few years to truly evaluate a recruiting class, but this really looks like Coach B is just trying to fill schollies. I understand that recruiting rankings don't mean everything. What I take most serious is offers from other schools. Not interest, but real offers. Many of our recruits have Akron as their only D1 offer. That isn't good. We are taking away recruits from YSU..really? I know coach B got started late and has to catch up, but I would rather he save schollies to have the max 25 next year or more since some enrolled early, rather than give them out to undeserving players. JMHO

I think people are going tobe shocked with how much talent is on this team. I don't think we are at the top of the MAC, but I certainly think we have the talent to be a 500 MAC team.

If Wagner goes to OSU it will be as a walk on. Next year is a rebuilding year for them. They will not be starting a transferred senior linebacker when they have the the young talent at LB that they already have and are getting in this next class. If he wants to sniff the NFL he is better suited starting at Akron at lb as opposed to being a st player only at OSU. With TB as the coach he will probably get more exposure than with Ianello.

I'm thinking the same thing. I feel the spring game will have more people come than any home game last season.
