I have some great memories of the Rubber Bowl. From going there as a kid, especially the Acme Zip game, to playing there in High School. It would be great to see the place fixed up and used for football.

Very true. Once he has a winning team and an actual home crowd on his side to go with the everything else, he will do great.

The Rubber Bowl was a dump before it got destroyed over the last few years. I think there would need to be a lot of work done just to satisfy safety concerns before even talking about cosmetic issues. It would probably be cheaper for them to build a new stadium rather than fix up the RB.

He was projected as a possible top 10 pick. You have to wonder how this combined with his vanishing act against Bama will affect his draft status. Bizarre is an understatement.

Bama actually considered this a rebuilding year. They will be the top dog for the foreseeable future. They do lose some lineman but have a lot of depth behind it. They keep getting great recruiting classes and have a great coach and system. The only chance anyone else has is if another SEC team knocks off Bama giving them a loss, and then there are 2 undefeated teams left. Actually there is a chance a 1 loss Bama team would jump an unbeaten team. LOL. Georgia had them beat in the SEC champ game and blew it. Even if one of the undefeated teams like Oregon or Kansas would have won out and it would have been ND and one of them, most would know Bama is still the best. Bama needs to be beaten head to head in the NCG for everyone to acknowledge they aren't the best.

Yep. And the uninformed with agendas. If you want to know what kind of man Tressel is, talk to those that know him and have played for him at different schools. I would guess 90% think he is a great man. Many just focus on the ESPiN smear job and the 10% that have an ax to grind. Obviously Proenza knows.

Actually Brady Hoke is the stunt double for Chris Cristie. Actually I have never seen them together. Hmmmm

Akron

"Rumor" that an OT, from Akron, that is currently at a B1G school is considering transfering to Akron. Just a rumor right now FWIW.

Look at Alabama in football. There are players every year that are cut. Sure, Saban finds another term to use, but they are cut. If you are not good enough they find a way to get rid of you. Most don't do this, because this would severly hurt recruiting, but some can get away with it easily because of who they are.

Let's hope he isn't a veg head either.

What's even more impressive is this is the first year for the entire offense in this system. Next year they will all have a year of experience and Pohl should be ready.

Can't switch midseason but need to get some JC guys in the off season. Hopefully Turner will be ready to play next year.

Jones was not a Meyer recruit and he is suspended because of that. The haters don't realize how many contributors have been kicked off the team already.

For over 3 quarters Akron was in this game. That interception at the endzone killed us. Of course that came after Tyler Williams fell down for a huge loss. Then the bad reversal on the fumble did us in. I don't know if it was a fumble or not, but it was certainly inconclusive and there is no way that can be reversed either way. I was impressed that our lines held their own against a much faster and bigger line. Once Bowden gets his players in here this team will win a lot of games.

They hate him bad. They really want Charlie Strong as their new coach.
