  2. Agreed. "Dan Hipsher's Seat" was one of the best posters we had at the Dreamwater site.
  3. A healthy Andy Hipsher, before his back injury, could flat out play. I'd still consider the pre-injured Andy one of the top 5 or 10 talents we've had in the JAR over the last 10-15 years.
  4. He wasn't ever charged was he?
  5. What bothers me about this article is the part where she has only a 2 year deal now. Even if it will take some time to reward her efforts with a better compensation plan, I think UA needs to as fast as possible make sure she's at least got 4 years left on the contract. Heading into a recruiting season on a 2 year deal makes her job all the more difficult. It's high time UA committed to Jodi, so as to not slow the current momentum. B) B) GoZips!
  6. Yet you'll throw a kid under the bus who had a bad night playing point for the 3rd time .. the first against a defense like VCU? Did you read what you posted? B) Go Zips!
  7. I like the Offutt pick, he played pretty well both games. Curious who your fifth guy was, presuming Marshall, Treadwell, Keely and Offutt were the first 4?
  8. I couldn't disagree more. The games where the Zips have doubled Cooper he has killed it with assists. Think back to the last time OU won at the JAR. He had 16 assists or so, leading to 38 points. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Single team Cooper with a bigger player (Harney) and make him a shooter. I'd rather see DJ go for 20 with under 5 assists. B) B) Go Zips!
  9. Why don't we reassign the jersey # when we're sure it's available?
  10. And it begins @ Stone Mad Pub! Noon somewhere! Go Zips! Crawl details to be updated on twitter .. @zipwatcher #myliverlovesthezipstoo
  11. They could play for the title, based on the bracket at ohsaa.org. B) B)
  12. Not sure about Garage bar. It's on our 2nd tier Ohio City list with Bar Cento, GLBC and some others. If it's open, we'll probably be there at some point.
  13. Ok, I'm somewhat embarrassed I didn't already know of this place, but it's officially on the docket now. Thanks for that! B) B) Go Zips!
  14. Happy Dog is definitely on the short list. Were it not a Friday in Lent, it might be the first stop. Not sure how I feel about a Vegan dog. The wife and I did a trial crawl about 2 or 3 weeks ago and started at Happy Dog. I love the place. And then there's Sweet Moses ....
  15. I have a whole bunch of women's tickets that I'm unable to use. They're included in my MAC Pacs. If anyone would like to make use of them, just PM me, and I'll see about leaving them at will call for you, since I'll be up at the Q on Wednesday night. B) B) Go Zips!
  16. We're going with a West Side crawl starting at about 11:30 on Friday. Exact route to be determined, but it will likely include Stone Mad, Harp, Old Angle and perhaps Market Brewery. If you find me, I might just buy you a drink. Thursday and Saturday might be Greenhouse Taverne since we'll have less time. B) B) Go Zips!
  17. Tremendous & timely post. My brief additions: The situation should force the Zips to stick to the gameplan of pumping the ball inside. Big that we got Chauncey going a bit against Miami, he'll be needed tonight even more. I think if we constrain Carmelo and Deji to distribute, penetrate and pass .. it helps the Zips. It does put the onus on CG, BW, JK, and RM to be hitting, but it doesn't have to kill the Zips. The Zips just went from having 11 of the best ~30 guys in the MAC on one roster to having 10 of the best ~29. KD will adapt and adjust. It's a loss to the team, but it's a new season. Opportunity exists in chaos. Tonight will be looked back upon as the game when one or two young Zips stepped up and grabbed the mantle of floor general heading into the next few years. Which ones?? That's the fun of it. Depth is king. B) B) Go Zips!
  18. Like it or not, this is not the forum for declaring the guilt or innocence of a currently charged UA athlete. This is unfortunately pertinent to our Zips and their upcoming efforts to complete the MAC Championship sweep. If you want to discuss the impact of these events on the Zips MBB team and the next few games, have at it. This whole situation sucks .. we get that. But save any attacks and judgments for another time and place. This is a sports forum. For my money, I think we'll witness the best example yet of how KD's system built around teamwork and the development of depth. I keep them on: B) B) Go Zips!
  19. I'm just wondering which one of the 3 will channel the Jawanza Moore EffectTM on Friday and go for their career high in their last appearance at the JAR. My money's on Chauncey. B) B) Go Zips!
  20. My thoughts exactly. Coach Kest has done an astounding job at UA and should be rewarded. Go Zips! B) B)
  21. I think it should have been made with a championship net around his neck.
  22. If you want to look at NCAA tournament wins. I believe the number is 21.
  23. Can't was in the 8/9 game against UNLV one of the times Jimmy C took them to the dance. It was the year the Zips beat FSU and played at UMass. The flashes had their worst shooting game of the season and were smoked by halftime.
