  1. Jackson High School plays at Green High on Tuesday the 23rd. I will be attending this game(my daughter is a Green cheerleader) and would love to see some of the ZN faithful help me cheer for Josh. I have to be real careful about not cheering for Jackson, but I can still cheer for Josh. I will buy tickets for the first 5 ZN members who send me a PM. The Game starts at 7:30.
  2. Its my understanding that the clock is now controlled by on of the refs on the floor, not by someone on the scorers table.
  3. I'm thinking he might need to add a few pounds before the NBA comes calling. I do admit though that he is the most impressive freshman I have seen this season.
  4. It looks like the villagers are getting restless in Virginia. A couple of losses and now they are ready to fire the coach. They have some really high expectations down there. http://www.vcuramnation.com/forums/viewtop...?f=3&t=2617I look forward to hearing Districtballer's take on this one.
  5. I'm sure I read that the team was not coming home after the BSU game, but straight on to Mt Pleasant. I wonder if they went to the Casino?
  6. I think you should run out onto the floor the next home game so you can put KD in his place. I'm sure once you let him know he's on the "Hot Seat", the Zips will win out the rest of the season.
  7. I just heard Gerry Faust would be the sideline reporter.
  8. They are getting paid. They get a free four or five years of however many classes they care to take. Free room and board. Free books. Everybody else has to figure out a way to pay for the same thing.
  9. Wow! No wonder freshmen have trouble seeing the floor.
  10. Go Zips, you have my permission to give away the rest of your tickets.
  11. Same answer here. The only thing I really complained about was the food quality at the concession stands. Everything I had was very dried out and lacking any flavor. Very bare bones as far as condiments and dressings.
  12. Not that I have a problem with cool halftime routines (the panda plate lady was awesome), but who comes to a game to see the halftime entertainment? Why pay for something if it's not going to get people in the seats?Have you ever been to a Cavs game? Even though they have the greatest player in the NBA, they also have non-stop entertainment action going on before, during and after the game. It really does add something to the overall experience. If the Zips are ever going to draw the casual fan, they need more than just basketball.
  13. Halftime? Anything would be an improvement over what we've seen so far. I don't think I can take another dance group or little dribbler"s team at halftime this season. Where's the Red Panda plate stacking lady?
  14. In the standings but not at the bank.I think Saturday's game scared away a few hundred people from ever attending another Zips basketball game.I would guess that most of the reason for the bigger crowd on Saturday was due to the Hall of Fame inductions.
  15. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "majority lead," but the play-by-play of the Zips-Zags game (link below) shows that the Zips were never more than 4 points behind until 8:15 was left in the game. The Zips led the Zags from 6:40 remaining in the first half to 13:15 remaining in the second half, or 13:25, and a couple of times after that, as well.In the 10 minutes between 16:54 remaining in the first half and 6:40 remaining in the first half, the Zips pulled ahead of the Zags 6 different times.Only in the last 9 minutes of the game did the Zags clearly outplay the Zips. For the other 31 minutes, the Zips were either leading, tied, or within 4 points.Zips-Zags Play-By-PlaySo in all of those stats do you see a major lead for Akron. I do not. A lead by 4 points is clearly not insurmountable. You can tell yourself whatever you like but gonzaga was never in clear danger of losing that game. Gonzaga played almost everyone on their bench while Akron was in their normal rotation the whole game. As it looked to me was that Mark Few was conserving as much as he could knowing that Gonzaga was going to play more games. Keep thinking that Akron is at Gonzaga's level, and that is why Akron is laughed at outside this ring of nonsense.Dave and I were actually at the Rose Garden that afternoon for the Gonzaga game. Standing in line at the concession stand during halftime, I assure you that the Zags fans were quite worried about the outcome of the game. No one was laughing at the Zips. Well me, my dad, and Andy were there, and Mark Few was not worried. Tell Dave that for me. So you saw Mark few laughing at the Zips? Why do you feel it's neccesary to tear down the Basketball program?

  17. Not that what you wrote here is rocket science for those that understand Division I basketball...but DAMN that was well said and well written!!! My guess is I would be hard pressed to find a better quick analysis anywhere.A little inside info here, in another life, Dave in Green was a journalist! Then he spent 30 years in corporate "Communications". He better know how to put more than 2 words together at one time!
  18. It's down to UA or UT.http://www.cantonrep.com/carousel/x9858267...Akron-or-Toledo
  19. Fixed it for ya!
  20. I think I heard KD say that they mostly run the 3out/2in motion. .
  21. Zach, was that you out on the court last night for one of the timeout shooting contests?
  22. Ianello finalizes staff
  23. I think its a typo. Dambrot is 8-3 vs UB.
  24. Not anymore.I hope they get it together, regardless of who operates the Team Shop.
