  1. Not the end of the world guys......Games like this will make us stronger in the MAC Tourney. At large chances were lost the day the schedule was announced. We won't see Miami until at least the semi's. We split the regular season games with these guys so the Guys will reposect them in Cleveland and be hungry for revenge. This might be the kick in the a$$ this team needs heading into the final 4 games and the tournament.
  2. Akron listed as conference automatic Bid by virtue of having best record. Not listed as a bubble team http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/men...2007-bubble.htm
  3. Can watch the AP game highlights here. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=270482006Also check out the BG Buffalo highlight from last week....what an odd ending!
  4. Good teams can overcome bad officiating.
  5. I expected this game to be close in the first half. Dambrot will adjust and the second half we'll pull away.
  6. Well, a good friend of mine named forest might call him "Bubba-Chump Shrimp!"Any rowdies want to dress up like forest?
  7. figured I'd start the game thread early. Any predictions?Akron 73 BG 51
  8. Regarding the fouls...there were bad calls all the way around. I don't know what these guys were trying to do, but it was ugly.Akron fans made a decent showing and made some noise. I was proud!
  9. YSU attendance this year:v. Loyola 2,615v. Lock Haven 3,407v. Canasius 1,479v. Slippery Rock 1,534Source http://www.ysu.edu/sports/mens_bball/20060...ts/teamstat.htm2 games over 3,000?I wasn't flaming as we Zip fans have no room to run smack when it comes to attendnance. The point of my comment was that there will be no major "home court" advantage other than the colors on the floor will be red and black rather than blue and gold. I project an announced crowd of 3,200 with about 2,700 butts in the stands (Mine included). One thing Zips and 'Guins can agree on is that I'm looking forward to a good game.JP
  10. Having seen YSU on local TV here in Y-town a few times this season, I would warn you all not to overlook this YSU team. The team is very athletic and WELL-coached. The Behgly center will be empty as it has been all year so don't look for a home court advantage in that regard. We need to be physical with YSU and keep them from having second shot opportunities.....that's what killed Can't.This will be my first Zip game this season and my 2 year olds first Zip Game ever.....I'm pumped!GO ZIPS!
  11. anybody want to volunteer to do the play by play for us?
  12. I'm still sick to my stomach...........
  13. It will be the first time Cribbs ever wore the uniform of a winner!
  14. It 9:43pm, Just put my kids to bed and as I kissed my 2 year old son goodnight he said........"daddy I love you....I love you too son....Daddy.....yes son.......K-ent sucks.......you're right son, K-ent will always suck, sweet dreams."
  15. I agree, Gerry is a great spokesman and ambassador for the University. He is an asset to the University. As far as I'm concerned he can come around anytime he wants!
  16. The video is free?
  17. Reading that was a complete waste of time. They are classless uneducated fools! But I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. THen why did you bring it up?
  19. I watched the video 30 times on espn.com. In the video, Kennedy's torso and arms fall across the goal line. The photo has been doctored, If the picture was real, no way he gets across the goal line with the ball. Looks like a case of sore losers if you ask me.
  20. My brother was at the game and spoke with some players and coaches after the game. Apparantly the place kicker threw his back out either before or during the game. It explains his kicking woes........and made the final call to go for the touchdown the only real option!
  21. I would say that one game that I have never forgot was the 1993 opening home game. It was my first Zip game, I was a freshman, the bowl was packed, and we beat the Sh1t out of Can't 49-0!!!!!!!! I believe it was Marcell Weems (sp?) who threw a bomb to a zip reciever on the first play of the game for a touchdown.Another game that sticks out was in 1994-5 v. Miami. I happened to get the opportunity to sit in the press box with Senator Mike Dewine and then governor George Voinivich (both Miami grads I think). I beleve we got beat pretty bad that game. Some other highlights: 1993 Getting in the locker room after a Zips win, Faust gave a riveting post game speach, 2001 v. Ohio U, QB sparks goes down early in the game with a injury, some guy by the name of "Frye" comes in a wins it. Little did we know at that time how that injury would change the face of Zips football forever. One last memory is that and always will!!!!!
