  1. Does that mean there's no chance he'll try to continue playing somewhere?
  2. Oops, sorry about the walk down memory lane . Here's a gozips video of the players' comments:
  3. Anybody know what Warren Ball's plans are?
  4. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000795088/article/pro-day-results-michigan-cal-byu-akron-utah-state AKRON Sixteen teams were represented at the Zips' pro day, including the Cleveland Browns, who sent their wide receivers coach. Seventeen players from Akron and two from smaller area schools worked out indoors on FieldTurf. » WR Jerome Lane (6-2 7/8, 231) stood on his 40 and shuttle times from the combine, and had a 37-inch vertical and 10-5 broad jump. He had a good workout in positional drills. » Pass rusher Jamal Marcus (6-1 3/4, 240) ran the 40 in 4.76 and 4.78 seconds, had a 33.5-inch vertical, a 10-4 broad jump, a 4.36-second short shuttle, a 7.26-second three-cone, and 17 strength lifts. A projected free agent, Marcus played defensive end at Akron but will be an OLB if he makes it in the NFL. » DE Se'Von Pittman (6-3 1/4, 268) ran the 40 in 4.90 and 4.88 seconds, had a 28.5-inch vertical, a 9-3 broad jump, a 4.70-second short shuttle, a 7.41-second three-cone, and 22 lifts. He's a projected free agent.
  5. Seems weird to me. Fresh off a final 4 finish for the UCF presidency, he gives himself a demotion? Doesn't exactly sound like resume-building or a stepping stone scenario.
  6. Yes. Let's get BIG
  7. Did you see this boneheaded column? "https://www.ohio.com/akron/writers/bob-dyer/bob-dyer-what-good-is-ua-contract"
  8. IDK if Buffalo's senior Wes Clark was indeed tourney MVP but I guess that's the last we'll be seeing of him.
  9. The '18-19 signing period is April 11 - May 16 so we should know a lot within a month's time.
  10. Law school dean to president of a 66K student university within a span of about 3 years would have been a pretty rapid ascent. Nevertheless, I think he will be gone within a couple years. UA's striving to keep him is probably the biggest recommendation that will help him to get hired elsewhere.
  11. Best wishes to Malcolm and thanks for being a Zip!
  12. "concerns about his ability to collaborate" ... I'd say that's been his forte at UA..
  13. Thanks. I see a lot of effort and determination in those photos.

  15. Mistake to foul their 3-point shot with a 7 point lead under a minute. Mistake not to foul on the easy lay-in (prevent it) after the (1st) steal. Glad we did enough right to overcome it though.
  16. The wheels have fallen off her wagon, unfortunately.
  17. How to break a scoring drought..

  19. Dukes get a #10 seed and first round bye, will play #7 Richmond on Thursday in round 2.
  20. Yes. It will.
  21. Thanks for your service, Mr. Smith!
  22. I don't understand his comments but I wish him enjoyment and good football memories.

Both are presidents of institutions with fewer than 25,000 students, however, and that gave some committee members pause. “I am concerned about being able to scale up at this level from institutions that are much smaller than ours,” said Gordon Chavis, associate vice president of enrollment services at UCF. The committee eventually agreed to bring back both candidates, noting Kennedy had experience at larger institutions and Wilson could be a rising “superstar.”
