  1. I would love to see that on SportsCenter one day
  2. I watched the first quarter last night. Michael and Dustin kinda crapped their pants when TC5 trotted on for the first series after they had just previewed TW4 and broadcast him warming up before the game I'm not sure if Haynes poo'ed or was relieved at first. Man was that a long quarter...I wonder what the record is for timeouts called in the first 10 minutes of a college football game?
  3. Well, yeah, good, but, I wonder if even 25% of U.S. households have CBS Sports channel.
  4. Isn't that something the coach would normally announce?
  5. You're right...thanks. All the more amazing we overcame a 3 turnover differential.
  6. 1. WB did not play 2. Combined turnovers: 3 3. Attendance: 20,167
  7. You'll get an update at the beginning of the next game, not before.
  8. ...Kent sucked just enough for us to pull out a win
  9. Not real random either, but found this ad in a 1970 Life magazine http://zipsnation.org/forums/uploads/monthly_2016_09/large.DSCN6771.JPG.2be701750813bd99aa63b55f29423237.JPG
  10. For entertainment purposes only, no winners will be announced. Binary questions.
  11. 1. Rivalry game mystique keeps the score within 20 2. Zips need to show they can keep anyone under 350 3. Zips will work on running game and AJ will let the backs score a few, limiting Woody's numbers
  12. Another oxymoron and misnomer. It's nice to know we have no "commits" yet for next year. I wonder, do we still recruit players that have already "committed" to other programs? I don't see why we shouldn't, if it's someone we want. What is the purpose of a player even making a "verbal commitment"?
  13. Is it safe to say "de-commitment" is an oxymoron and players no longer "commit" to a school? It seems a new recruiting term is needed.
  14. What are the definitions of the words "commit" and "commitment"?
  15. I left this as a private poll so I am not able to see individual votes. If you voted for under 300 passing yards allowed (280 actual), under 100 yards in penalties committed by the Zips (72 actual) and under 17K announced attendance (15K+ actual), you are a winner! Also, board settings do not allow a non-moderator to close a poll which means people can vote after the fact. As of 11:00 a.m. Sat. I noted the majority voting was 21-3 for under 300 yards passing allowed 16-8 for under 100 yards penalized 13-11 for under 17K announced attendance So the voters as a whole were correct on all questions.
  16. Worth a 5th round pick, I would say.
  17. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=college football injuries Warren Ball has suddenly disappeared from a couple of the injury lists...not sure if it means he's ready for next Sat.
  18. +1. And it was a pretty solid 2-2, very close to 3-1 even with the D being banged up and lacking depth. I think we're still going to need a few key transfers on D for next year. I could see the Toledo/WMU games being similar to the ASU game. Hopefully Ball will be healthy and we can have fast starts and score more than 38 ppg.
  19. http://www.gozips.com/sports/fball/2016-17/teams/akron?view=attendance The official attendance was 15,381, not terrible for the MAC but 18K would have been nice. It will just go as the quality of the team goes. We need to attain Toledo performance to get Toledo attendance. Great opportunity for us to win the East, if OU and BG let us, and get some more buzz from the MACC and another bowl game.
  20. Great...I could almost hear the pads smashing
  21. Or weak defense...
  22. I'm just watching the scoreboard but it seems like all I see is long yardage situations for the Zips.
  23. And then they went to Lansing and spanked Sparty!
  24. Announced attendance, mind you
