Watching the replay....lest anyone think WB carelessly dropped the ball after the long run, it was a textbook roundhouse knockout punch to the pigskin by #25 Tindal before any real contact that knocked it loose. Of course you want to always protect the ball but Warren was clearly trying to take it all the way (which we would have needed him to do).

They play Ga. State this week and then it's @MSU, @Mich, Tosu, and @Iowa so as good as they are they could be 3-4 by Oct. 22.

He will get his yards, their TE will get his yards, but I don't think their QB Houston can hurt us too bad throwing downfield; he threw a couple of picks against LSU.

If they have success overwhelming our inexperienced o-line, I hope TW4 can burn them with some scrambling and/or throwing on roll-outs. We didn't show that much on Sat.

Right, those were down years for us too but we still scared 'em good. We haven't really had an up year since 2005 when we won the MAC. Last year we won our first bowl game but didn't beat anyone with a winning record and got wrecked by our division champ. A B10 win would be almost as huge for us as the SEC win was for you. Go Zips!

The ESPN announcers were calling out the Zips defensive coaching for not using a zone scheme to take away their big plays to the outside.

Marshall had a bye in Week 1 and plays Morgan State this Saturday. So we will be their first FBS opponent and will have an extra game under our belt which will hopefully be to our advantage.

And the Soap Box Derby officials are now complaining about the RB.
