I am giving Bowden the benefit of the doubt and convincing myself that Pohl was sidelined for medical related reasons. If that is not the case, Bowden must be seriously scrutinized by the AD, coach Amato (hats off), and every player not named woodson on our team.

No one is expecting high majors to do a home and home with us. I am not expecting to see Duke or Kentucky at the JAR any time soon (or ever). But you make it look as if the only two choices we have are either Duke or Bluffton college!!!! Teams from the A-10, Horizon, MVC, all complain about the same scheduling issues and that no one will have a home and home with them. Why don't we consistently have a few of them on our schedules?

Who would be an interesting opponent in your opinion? I hope you don't see this as me being sassy, I am genuinely interested in knowing your answer.

So does it have to be either Kansas, Uconn, Duke OR Bryant, Coppin State, UAPB, Bluffton? Isn't there anything in between? Can't we get A10, MVC, Horizon teams to play a home and home with us? Like DIG pointed out, the MTSU series is a great one. Why don't we have a few of these with similar teams? I also appreciate the fact that kids want to win, but they also want to be in the spotlight and want to play in full arenas. So we may need to think about what these schedules are doing to our already dwindling fan base.

With all due respect to every one on this board, just for the sake of objectivity: - When the faculty at UA voice concerns about Tressel becoming a president, no one should listen to those "whiners" and it is a good thing Tressel is coming to set them straight. But an anecdotal rumor about People at Toledo not liking Dr. Scarborough, that is a big strike against him? - Cheating while doing your job for God knows how long and lying multiple times to NCAA investigators is a "bad judgement" mistake that we should overlook, but being suspended from a job for undisclosed reasons with no charges, no penalties of any sort is unforgivable?

Nothing is 100% guaranteed. However, it is very rational to expect the "after endowmnent" BGSU to be much better than the "before endowment" BGSU. If they're not, someone(s) should be loosing their jobs in that athletic department.

Don't waste your time. According to my source, this hiring is a done deal and people in Columbus are pushing for it ever since the guy "resigned" from OSU.

Can you explain to me what BC is seeing in JC? He failed at TCU and then took a team that went to the sweet 16 (the whole team) and failed to get to the tourney with them the following year. He also lost finished 5th in his conference and lost in the quarter finals of the tourney in his second year. What am I missing?
