  1. "There will be no re-entry per half". 😯 👏
  2. Yes, EMU is a team we should have beaten double digits, but this is #MACtion. Two BIG upsets at and near the top of the league tonight as Ohio gave Toledo their first conference loss on the Kitties Court and Ball went to Canada and delivered a knockout punch to the pre-season favorite Bulls (the heifers?) who've suddenly lost three straight. Okay, who noticed? More than half of Eastern's shots were taken by one player. She scored 32, but took 34 FG attempts and made only 13. Shades of former Zip John Britton (sp?). Also note, there is just one MAC team undefeated at home this season, 5-0 Akron. We HAVE to keep that up, especially when the Rockettes come to town. CORRECTION: Ohio outscored Toledo 28-12 in the 4th Qtr IN TOLEDO to shock the Rockettes! Whoa! 😲
  3. 247 Sports is predicting...💯 that he commits to Akron.
  4. 3-star WR, Miami Palmetto HS scribed to @zipsfb. https://247sports.com/Player/Bobby-Golden-46056940/
  5. Aside: Radford game from Dec 27. Will this game be made up? Schedule shows "postponed" and other sites show it added in February.
  6. I'm curious. What became of "Big Cat", the Keith Dambrot recruit who xferred from Duquesne to BeeGee? Don't see his name in box score, though I forget what it was... 😆
  7. 10 of 14 at the 12:00 mark. NCAA record is 15! C'mon coach!! 😆
  8. Just tuned in. Trimble's back! 😊🤩 21, 6/10 three pointers. ICYMI... 😂
  9. Coach Jackson in Holmes County this week for the battle between Berlin Hiland and Sheridan featuring Zips recruits Ailla Miller of Hiland and Faith Stinson of Sheridan. https://twitter.com/CoachJackson21/status/1483255920108912642?t=wyssYyIC-vpujXVkEN745Q&s=09
  10. Defensive battle largely. We did a good job of holding down their all-MAC combo of Dyaisha Fair (24 ppg) and Summer Hemphill below their averages and neither made a 3-pointer. They went 1/12 as a team, but we were only 3/19 IIRC. They just have too many weapons and remain the favorites for Cleveland. Now who thought Reagan Bass was going to be a big-time freshman performer? It will be fun to watch her matched with Faith Stinson the linebacker-looking recruit from Sheridan HS next year.
  11. Wasn't Rodney the 6-7 kid from Salem with the 1" vertical? Coleman loved that kid! I think he became the coach of Salem HS. Anyone?
  12. Dawson played more minutes and outscored Trimble tonight...ahem... Will Akron ever play a complete...75% complete first half? Hope they learned self-confidence at least tonight. Play to the buzzer, trust your mates, and your coaches! Was Wynn dressed tonight?? 0 minutes.
  13. This team is 4-12 HOW? 😲 White and Norman are Big-Time playahs!
  14. Could use some Mark Alberts right about now. Rodney Tetzloff, not so much. 😜
  15. good start means "GREAT SURPRISE"!!
  16. What happened to Diogo? And Strachan?
  17. Tonight's game was live and direct on the X-Cast! (That's Xavier Castanyeda if ya didn' catch on) Carried the team when he knew his teammates needed him badly! Another second half like the UCanada game -- 51 points I think.
  18. 23 years since Forest played Premier League football (1999) Time for a Canadian rennaissance.
  19. The team that beat UCLA is 0-3 in the MAC! 🤯
  20. Top Drawer Soccer's mock draft 1.0 has Diogo Pacheco and Will Meyer going in the first round. Also NIU's Nick Markanich. https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/article/?categoryId=21&articleId=50354&articleTitle=2022-mls-mock-draft:-version-10&mc_cid=4835021015&mc_eid=da683e51b9
  21. Great game to watch with friends, who are becoming Zips fans. Let me thank my bartender for the Honolulu Cider Co. Guava Lava. 😃 Boals had the game plan to beat Akron early -- why are we so slow to get unhinged? OU is built for the tournament and can make a run with those shooters. Sometimes it seems like Ali x2 looks better when he's just a little out-of-control. If he's not the Most Improved Player in the MAC, I don't know who is -- it just seems like his athleticism has taken a jump from last year. After Vander Plas injured his left shoulder (about the time Akron's comeback began) he was less eager to shoot, and once on defense he made contact with a Zip ballhandler and ran to lean against the basket support in pain. That injury didn't hurt Akron's comeback. Finally, if we hadn't missed all our free-throws the first half we'd have had a better chance! Especially gotta make the front end of one-and-ones. Overall not that disappointed and think we have a good chance in the return trip to Upper Appalachia.
  22. Any news on Trimble? Any chance he plays? Could really help match that outside shooting (so-called advantage) by Appalachia.
