    Took me a while to figure this new US Soccer scenario out. I think it's a matter of MLS demanding to have the superior position in all areas of pro soccer nationally. I remember when WNBA started up and blew out the previous women's pro basketball league (WBA?). Strange, however that MLSNext has no national TV contract while USLC is on ESPN. And, according to this blog (attached below), MLSNext is considered Division III of the US Soccer ladder, yet is the most direct route to MLS! I'm interested personally as Hawai'i politicians are promising a USL team as soon as the New Aloha Stadium is completed in 2025.     Questions: Presuming he stays recruited by Akron, do you see him starting from day 1 till he plays out his string or is drafted? Does Rice no longer run the wishbone? Choctaw HS is a largely tribal community. Is Steele a registered member of the Choctaw nation?

    Thanks. I tried posting that yesterday. For some reason a problem with this board is that (often, though not always) after posting, a "ghost post" of your earlier post remains in the next screen preventing you from posting back-to-back. I haven't figured out how to erase or delete that ghost. Anyone else have this problem?

    So this is just the 50th season of Indiana men's soccer. I think Jerry Yeagley was their first head coach. Which means they've had only three coaches in 50 years. And two of them were Yeagleys. This is our arch-rival. #BeatHoosiers!

    With the acquisition of Prince Mosengo, it might open up the opportunity for additional mining of talent from this really outstanding new prep school Keystone Academy in Erie, PA.     I've seen that John Cistone (Sr. that is, I went to Green with junior before he transferred to St Vs) is a member of the Akron Hall of Fame. However, it appears his greatest performances were in baseball rather than football.

    I just looked at Gozips.com MBB 22-23 roster. The 9 remaining. The additions won't go up till start of the school year, BUT... Nate Johnson and Kobe Mitchell are both listed as sophomores. What's up with that? Neither played at all as true frosh. No red shirts?

    Damn! I'll start by saying how much I DON'T care about logos. Today is literally the first time I've looked at this ZipsNation thread! Post obligatory: It's just too cartoonish looking for me. The best comment was on Zips Athletics Facebook, "It looks like something my 10 y.o. made with Microsoft Paint!" 🤣 BUT, the best part of this entire exercise was that AMAZING video. Whoever did that should get more work from the U. I LOVED the oldtime video outtakes like Lenny Paul -AND...was that Keith Dambrot rounding the bases?? 😚

    The Bracketbusters failed because 90% of the games -- the non-televised ones -- were meaningless. It was great for those of us in the Top 10% though, and I can only hope the idea gains steam.
