It's kinda confusing, since the first and second rounds both have 16...
I also remember us beating SIU-E before they won the national title in 1979. I think the archives have been changed, just to make me look bad! Why is everybody out to get me?! Where was Desmond Armstrong that weekend??
And Kerr was the Golden Boot winner. Shame. Game played at the Tacoma Dome in Washington. In the semi's Akron upset perhaps the favorite of the Final Four, Columbia and their star forward Desmond Armstrong, who you might remember from his TV broadcasting career with ESPN, etc.
Here's the write-up on Duke's website about the final. http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=285808
And re: Zip-ME87 above: I have Air Force beating VaTech. They have a strong record against mediocre competition. They're undefeated In their last 16 games.
For background...Apparently Kwad didn't play football at all at Mizzou before transferring, is that correct? Stories I found said that he was expected to play FB there, so I wonder if the coaches considered him too small, or why he didn't play.
Well folks, the last time an Akron QB really "effed-up" a while later he showed up at the coroner's office. Can we get this guy the help he needs?! Please?! Let's take this seriously!
Watching! First half...We look slow and unathletic; no motion offensively away from the ball; taking bad shots out of rhythm. NO way we could beat anyone but Arkansas Cream Puff playing like that!
Looking at his video, Jackson has that court vision that will really blend well with the other new pieces in 2018. I note that when the team lands in Hawai'i, he and Mal Duvivier will be the only ones who have played on the island before! ?
Over the last four minutes, Western has had three shots, two CKs, then Moutinho takes a yellow card. Hang in there, Zips. And as soon as I write that Cordeiro -- the OTHER Portagee scores the THIRD ... GOALLLLLLL!
In the 74th minute, Ben makes a save on a corner kick, and on second CK, a foul is called on WMU. 2-1 Zips. Minute later, Skye comes back in for Marcel Zajac
