Given the movement on the Vegas (betting) boards, you have to wonder how this info got out! Gamblers found it out before general public?

Those of us who are old-timers know that Hawktalk, along Aye Ziggy Zoomba were the first "Big Time" or fan-created boards in the MAC. Those days are long-gone, like the days when Roethlisberger could throw a 70-yard hail-Mary on the final play to dig his team out of a hole. 1992?

I'm now wondering about the TV schedule. For a long time both the Akron-Miami and BGSU-UBuff games were scheduled on the ESPN TV networks (forget which -- either the 'U' or the '2', but not ESPN prime. Now, in my local newspaper TV sports schedule, it simply says "NCAA College FB, teams TBD" and it only says "ESPN", not specifying which of the 3. I'm sure it will be on the app/stream, but is the MAC getting screwed over...again?

I wonder if the researchers are going to wonder about the statistical validity of multiple Akron-Hawaii alliances?

You can always tell by whether they say "Akron U."! From Summit County and born before 1960 makes it about 100%.

From the few scans of the stands by ESPN2 during tonight's NIU @ Toledo game, it didn't appear there were even 10k fans at the Glass Bowl for the biggest game of the year. Not sure how they will spin it in the stats. Of course it was raining hard too...

If anyone watches the replay -- I have been too busy -- the field surface looked like it was covered in ice crystals. It sure reconfirmed my decision to relocate to the Central Pacific. I only wish I could see this team in person, and in warmth. They are playing with the greatest confidence of any Zips team in years. With the exception of some ill-timed passes early in the thermally-challenged first-half, the team was in complete control and Marshall lacked the skill to compete that WMU will bring to the(ir) pitch next week. I'm confident Jared will have them, ready for battle, though. And for another title!
