  1. This is as close to the appropriate place for this as I can find.  Travis Clark ranks the MLS Academy teams.  Surprised by some things, like the new clubs (e.g., Atl United, Orlando) being above older clubs.  I expected Portland Timbers to be higher, frankly.  And I have a personal interest in the player Travis mentions as the top player on Seattle Sounders -- Shandon Hopeau is a local O'ahu kid who graduated from HS here last year.  I would LOVE to see that name on a Zips roster!  He has incredible ball skills and acrobatic moves in the box.  Only problem is he MAY have played pro briefly in Croatia last Summer.  Not sure.  Have to assume Jared is aware of him.

What do we do? I ask now because Azusa Pacific basically built a Carbon Copy of the JAR(Minus the Track). http://www.atiae.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/APUbasketball.jpg Expand, or build new?

Very interesting Lance.  APU plays in the Pac West Conference with four Hawai'i colleges I follow, and I would be surprised if they ever get the gym half-filled -- assuming it seats > 5000.  Strange.

It is a shame to see Campbell injured.  OU's loss and his injury (if it's as serious as it looks) ... 4-0 start in the MAC while Canada and Kent are imploding.  Feels great.  We are the premiere team in this conference.

I like how you spelled it, p-r-e-m-i-e-r-e, which is the Canadian spelling! ;)

Can plan anywhere if the he gets accepted into a program not offered at UA.

USF has one of the nation's premier graduate programs in applied anthropology.  America needs more ethnographic experts in the social dynamics of athletic culture.  Maybe he can write his thesis on what makes athletes compete despite the dangers associated with the brain - jarring violence of their sport.  Or he could study how masculine "locker room culture" effects the political and cultural relations between the sexes.  Seems he may already have insights that could serve as ready-made academic models for discussion.  The issues he has dealt with in his own life can help him be a leader and an educator with his intellectual talents.  And, he can employ his football experience as a laboratory of knowledge.  Best wishes to the young man.

If Kwan doesn't score another point he will have raised his scoring average to double digits so that all five starters average double digits. If Big Dog picks up 3 rebounds and Kwan 2 then both will have a double double. Good half for both of the big guys.

I thought I told you people, Kwan is NOT a big guy -- except for the impact of his all-around game! ;)

A much needed dimension honestly. I'm very impressed with Ivey. He's got some Ibatayo to his game.

Ha ha.  It's a relief to hear Ibi get that type of acclaim after his Zips career, as most everyone on this board had given up on him before his junior season -- everyone except the Zip in Paradise, that is! :)  Similarly, many thought Kwan Cheatham was a liability going into his senior year.  "Oh, ye of little faith".  Our team has six certified 3-point shooters on the roster.  If 1/3 of those players are shooting close to 50%, we can beat any team in the MAC,  especially with Keith's inside-out philosophy.  And, when we get fewer than the requisite 3-point baskets, we have the best post player in the league to dig us out.  We all know, nothing comes easy in this league.  We will be an underdog maybe two or three times the rest of the season.  I'll be more than a little surprised if we don't get the #1 seed to Believeland.  Believe it, this is Keith Dambrot's best team, at least till next season.  Which, addenduming the statement, makes me disappointed that big Mike Hughes hasn't gotten more PT these last two games.  I'm hopeful he gets an opportunity to contribute (like 10 m. plus) the rest of the MAC season.
