Any news on practices?

The reason NEOUCOM exists in the first place is that none of the three universities could do it on their own so they agreed to do it together. Has UA's position changed that much in 20 yrs or so that it could now do it alone? Probably not IMO.

I think it SUCKS to have the FINAL GAME AT THE BOWL on a THURSDAY NIGHT when not everyone will be able to attend!!!!

Looks like they're mostly freshmen this year and I don't recall last year's roster breakdown so I don't know if that's an excuse or not. It's only a club team, so I don't know how much of their expenses if any get covered by UA.

no they don't.getting a tourney bid (outside of the concrete rules) is about abstract biased value judgments like popularity, school size, reputation/pedigree, and what currently tickles their fancy. In other words... IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!

Problem is, where? NIMBY is what you'll hear if you do try. There's development going on in all areas around downtown (N & S Main, Northside, Summa's City Hosp campus, Spicer Village, etc.). The other problem is that those people require services that are downtown (shelters, meals, medical care, aid agencies, etc.) so moving them away would cause problems there too. Unfortunately some of those people will never be able to make it due to mental illness, substance addiction, etc., but there are those who could be helped up out of it and we need to find a way to help them. *steps off soapbox*

Exactly. Our schedule is fine. Losing to Duke and NC does nothing for you. One has to remember that on top of losing to VCU, Winthrop, K.e.n.t. & Dayton we also have bad losses against N.Illinois and Central Michigan. Western Michigan is an understandable loss, but 1) they pounded us and 2) K.e.n.t. beat them! So right now K.e.n.t. is 1) winning games they should win / not losing games they shouldn't lose, and 2) winning the toss-up games. In our program's history we have been inconsistent w/ #1 and completely unsuccessful w/ #2. No wonder K.e.n.t. is in the Top 25. They deserve it. We don't. The schedule's not the issue. If we had accomplished what Can't has w/ both points 1 and 2 above, we'd be in the Top 25 right now too.Agreed. Don't forget, we had some votes when the season began. Had they won, we would surely be ranked.

I thought CMcK did a fantastic job crashing the boards late in the VCU game and coming up with some crucial rebounds. Unfortunately they were unable to convert them all into points. If he continues that, I think we have a better chance at winning it all.
