So let me get this straight. Since Chad Johnson wanted to play soccer, all American soccer players are as good of athletes as Chad Johnson. Kansas City (over half of their players are not from the United States) beats Manchester United in a "friendly contest". I'm sure this game was more like a preseason baseball game than a real game. If being able to run a long way makes one in great shape and better shape than people who play other sports, then marathon runners must be the greatest athletes in the world and not NBA players? Sorry bobbyake, your facts are weak at best and prove little. Here is how I see it. Chad Johnson is a world class athlete and probably ran circles around the little kids on the pitch (what a stupid name). At some point there was no challenge to it so he challenged himself with better athletes. Those athletes were playing football and not soccer. See preseason game analogy for KC vs ManU. Running and bouncing a ball off of your head while collapsing in pain after nobody touches you doesn't make one a great athlete. In Europe, great athletes are playing soccer...In the US, great athletes like Chad Johnson are playing football, basketball and some play baseball. Chad Johnson wasn't good enough to play soccer at the next level, that's why he's an NFL Receiver. He's stated before that he'd rather be playing soccer. And yes, I think soccer players are better athletes than Chad Ochocinco. Can you prove me wrong? No, because there's no way to prove who's a better athlete. That's why this is an idiots statement: The U.S. best athletes play what they're best at, it doesn't matter what they prefer or like better. Jordan played basketball instead of baseball, Lebron played basketball instead of football, Chad Ochocinco played football instead of soccer. The list goes on. If you're talented for a certain sport, you play that sport. Football requires muscle and quickness, soccer requires endurance, speed, and a strong leg. Very different requirements. Your comment should get the reward for dumbest comment of the year.

Wrong!!! Chad Johnson wanted to play soccer but is playing football. He is a huge soccer fan and loves the sport more than football. You're opinion makes no sense. Get some facts please. Also, Kansas beat Manchester United in a friendly contest. You have to be in better shape to be good at soccer than you do for football, baseball, and basketball. This is as close Chad OchoCinco will get to playing soccer on TV

+1 I knew we could agree on something Bobby. All of this conference smack talk derives from the BCS system. You have 3 undefeated teams from 3 different BCS conferences, people are forced to start comparing their strengths. The sooner they implement a playoff system, the better.

Beating Ken Lolla makes it that much sweeter

Im hoping dedicated concessions and bathrooms would be on that list... I do believe bathrooms is part of it. not sure about the concessions part or any other specifics. 'Wistrcill said fundraising has begun for the second phase of the project, which he hopes will be completed for the 2011 season.' here's the original plan. http://www.ohio.com/news/top_stories/79535902.html -
I gained some respect for TW after watching this. As much as I dislike him for hiring iCan'tcoach, he has done an amazing job supporting Zips Soccer with renewing Coach Porter's contract and improving Lee Jackson Stadium

The rumors originated HERE. My guess is the series of six hints refers to one of our assistant coaches. I think we should be more worried about losing one of the assistants. I remember listening to one, I think Jared Embick, on 1350 before because Porter couldn't be there. He was very interesting to listen to and knows a lot about the game. But both Jared Embick and Oliver Slawson are probably going to get offers from other schools. Jared Embick is building an impressive resume here at Akron, give him a raise!! -
Lolla vs his old team. Round one

are you talking about Fox 8???? I watched the whole hour segment at 10 to see Zips coverage, and they only did 20 seconds of it at the end. Channel 5 on the other hand, did an excellent job covering the Zips. They had game footage, an interview with a player, crowd reaction at the Barley House, and an interview at the barley house. They also continued to talk about the Zips later on during their sports news thing. I normally can't stand Channel 5 because they usually cover Columbus city's state college more than anything else, but they did a great job last night with the Zips. http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/sports/sports_...al-championship I didn't see Channel 3 news so I have no idea what they did. Eric Mansfield hasn't mentioned the win on his facebook and he's the old Akron News guy that works for Channel 3. I doubt they did much.

He's gonna be one popular guy... "Also, my mentor [Jerry Yeagley] stayed at Indiana his entire career. He had other opportunities, but in the end, he got so attached he could never leave it. And right now, that's kind of where I'm at." Caleb Porter -
O how I love Caleb Porter!!! I wish we could clone him for our football team.
