it would be nice if they could add more seats to the soccer field. You have to go early to get a good seat or else you'll find yourself standing for most of the games.Btw, can our girls soccer team start doing this? I'm worried the new stadium might be the end of all the tailgating fun. Are we suppose to tailgate in the parking deck? It would be nice if they bulldozed the Plasma center and turned that area into parking.

Roo Brew was serving beer during the Arch Angels event in the Martin Center. I wasn't impressed with the beer. Not sure if it was their IPA or not. I usually like IPA's. Hoppin Frog has an amazing IPA.

I'm not sure if this arena is realistic at all. Akron-Nike-LeBron Arena???? I doubt it. I think the university is more focused on getting a med school more than anything else. It would be the best thing to happen if it happens.

They'll probably get a grant to fix the problem. If not, rates will rise or a new tax will be put on the ballots if the city continues to run the sewer company. The government/city already does a horrible job managing the thing. Why not see what a private company can do? I would rather see them raise rates than raise taxes. They already want to raise taxes so that the city can accommodate the Poor’s transportation needs. I hope everyone is smart enough to vote against that. I would really enjoy seeing the Metro cut routes. The best thing that could happen to Akron is to create inconveniences for the poor so that they'll be more inclined to move somewhere else (Cleveland, Detroit, Youngstown, etc.) This city needs to start bull dozing condemned homes, and focus on rebuilding for a more educated, wealthier future generation.

The government doesn't control natural gas or electric, why should it be any different with sewage control? I'm willing to bet it will be highly regulated if it does go into private control.I'm more in favor of a 10/15 year lease of the sewage company.You can market the scholarships to people that live outside the city. It's a way to get homes sold in the city and improve the quality of people that live inside the city. Akron needs to follow Washington DC, New York, Chicago, and Columbus's examples. Akron needs to experience gentrification. A good start would be for AMHA to move all of it's projects to the outer skirts of the city. If the city can rid itself of Section 8, wealthier people will start to move in and the city will experience a boom to its economy.

Slum lords don't understand the word 'appreciate.' They guy who owns the Sun bar is an idiot. He should have made plans to sell and purchase a new building across the street or in the area to capitalize on the stadiums traffic..

I'm just happy I don't have to hear about them anymore. Time for the media and everyone else in this area to open their eyes to Zips Basketball.

Let me add that the Cavs aren't playing that great this year, this might help lead all the fairweather fans in this area to the Zips basketball team. Don't get me wrong here, I'm a Cavs fan and I root for them. I'm just stating some postives for Akron basketball this year.

I'm just glad I wont have to hear about them for awhile. I'm happy about their loss because maybe the local media and the people in this area will start to open their eyes to the success the Zips basketball team is having this year.I look at it this way, OSU fans in Akron can cheer up because the Zips basketball team is a worthy team to root for and will help them forget about the Suckeyes for awhile.

Can't State University announced today at a meeting that they are going to drop all athletic programs. The reason given from someone at this meeting is, "We feel that the students at Can't State have no interest in our sports programs. They're more interested in getting high. Our sports program is just a distraction and a waste of money to our students that it's pointless to continue spending money on them. We plan on using the money on other forms of entertainment like Woodstock concerts and other things that hippies enjoy."

Think of the irony if MU wins, what will all the Suckeye fans do with their Appilachian State shirts?? Probably create a new shirt saying, "Thank God we didn't play them."
