If there is anyone who is a Zips fan who is not at this game (and has a means to get there) they are a disgrace.A disgrace? no offense to your high hopes, but I doubt the Thursday game will draw more than 15,000. Wendesday and Thursday games historically draw low numbers. I'll be in class and so will a lot of other students.

I'm excited about the future we'll have with Dambrot as the coach, that and Lebron's support.

This game shouldn't matter, all we have to do is win.

It makes me sad to know I have yet to see a game this year. I usually see at least 3-4 a year. If the OSU game is on tv, we should all get together somewhere to watch.

We could use Ball State as an example here. Purdue, Indiana, and Norte Dame (hard to count when most students don't come from Indiana) have all been out of national contention in the past 3-5 years. This is helping Ball State. I don't think one OSwho down year will cause much to change pertaining to fans, but it will help a little with media coverage. If the Sucks stay average for 3-5 years, it will make some difference in media coverage and fan support. I'd be more than happy to welcome that little difference. Don't understand why any other Zip fan wouldn't.To stay on topic, for Akron to get media attention, they not only have to be a winning/championship team, but they'll need OSwho to have a down year.Remember when Akron went to the Motor City Bowl, beat NC State, does well??? The paper barely covered it because OSwho was a national contender.If OSwho is a National contender, it matters little if Akron wins a MAC Championship. The media will treat us like a small time program. Kind of like Mount Union in a way, although they are small time.This has been a fact of the past, that is why we have bad opinions towards OSwho.I was in Columbus on business for the OSU v PSU game, it was nice to see the droopy faces after the game.

Here are my thoughts:Win at least 5-6 of the last games, MAC Championship, and a Bowl Game = 3 year deal with less money, more accentives.Win at least 4 of the last games = 1 year deal with less moneyWin 3 or less of the last games = Fired!!He has to be held accountable for his results. - The last 2 seasons were ugly. - Attendance has been declining.- Where are all of his good recruits?

Good Luck. We had a good time 2 years ago doing it but a couple people got an underage citation. We had alcohol in our tailgate so we had to be very careful. We had to make sure we used cups and that there was not a beer can or bottle in sight. We also had to shut the tailgate everytime a cop rode by and dump whatever was in our cups. We wasted a lot of beer dumping it whenever we had a cop come near. Make sure you have someone to keep a look-out for them.If you want to drink and do it legally, You could always pay to tailgate in their tailgate area. You have to buy their beer if you do.If you want to have fun without giving Can't a $.01, you can just tailgate without alcohol anywhere near the stadium.

There are a lot of die hard Akron fans here that do not like OSWho and are vocal about it. I personally don't understood why Sgm or Buckzip get so upset when OSU gets bashed here, this is Zipsnation and fans should be allowed to bash whichever team they want as long as it's not the Zips.I personally never do any OSWho bashing anywhere on the board except for the Offtopic, Smack section. I learned my lesson a year or 2 ago.No one here should be called an Idiot. Your quest to defend OSWho in ZipplyLand is getting too personal.

AmenI hate seeing other Zips fans bash each other. BuckZip, and Sgm are great Zips fans and I'm proud to have them. Although they should get heat for defending OSU in ZippyLand, they should be treated with respect. The name calling going back and forth here is a little immature.

I think we all are worried about an ugly season this year. I'm becoming more vocal now because I'd like to see some changes made to prevent the ugly season from happening. Like a new defense for example. 4-3? 3-4? 4-4? anything different from the 3-3-5 defense please.Injuries are one thing, but this team should be deep enough to have underclassmen step in to stop a team from running all over us.The main reason I'm getting on JD's case, there is no excuse for back-to-back losing seasons. This program should have higher expectations than that. You're not going to sell out Info Stadium with a losing program. You wont have a chance to make it to the Big East. You're never going to win over the market from OSWho in the Northeast Ohio area. For JD to have 2 losing seasons in a row, I think the program will need a new direction.I know it's still early in the season, but I'm honestly worried about how it's going to turn out.

the rain and the fact that there are low expectations for the Zips this year was the reason for the bad fan turnout. Hopefully things look better for the UC game.

We talk about JD having a great recruiting class every year, right??? And then all those great recruits never make it to field, right??? Akron was picked to be 1-11 by some and just as bad by many.I'd rather see this organization move forward, not backwards. I’ve seen no forward progress with JD. With the new stadium, I’d like to see a coach that can make adjustments at half-time, recruit solid players, create a winning tradition. Maybe you guys need Can't to beat us first to get upset with JD, last years season was reason enough for me.

I'm tired of seeing Akron suck. I'm tired of seeing Akron do so well in the recruiting rankings only to see all the good recruits not play because they were high risk recruits no one else wanted to take a gamble on. I'm tired of seeing this 3-3-5 defense do nothing against the run. I'm tired of seeing JD ruin everything Lee Owens did for the Zips. The only time JD ever did anything good was when he was working with Lee Owens recruits. With the new stadium next year, I hope Akron goes out and gets a coach worthy of the ZIPS.

Any anti-suckeye fans want to get together after the game to root for USC somewhere in downtown. I like the idea of showing the local population that Akron fans do not root for OSWho .

it would be nice if they could add more seats to the soccer field. You have to go early to get a good seat or else you'll find yourself standing for most of the games.Btw, can our girls soccer team start doing this? I'm worried the new stadium might be the end of all the tailgating fun. Are we suppose to tailgate in the parking deck? It would be nice if they bulldozed the Plasma center and turned that area into parking.

Roo Brew was serving beer during the Arch Angels event in the Martin Center. I wasn't impressed with the beer. Not sure if it was their IPA or not. I usually like IPA's. Hoppin Frog has an amazing IPA.
