I think that Utah would beat both Florida and Oklahoma. It is sad that this is the system we have. The system we have has not worked for years. Either go to a playoff system or do away with the National Championship game and title.

This is the funniest thing I've heard on this board in awhile. I doubt OSU could even pound Cincinnati. Infact, Cincinnati is probably the best team in Ohio. You think that Cinci looked bad against Virginia Tech, wait until you see what Texas does.

If anyone drops from the BCS, its gotta' be the ACC or the Big Ten. Both are the weakest of the "big 6."

I understand 750k is a BIG deal for the program. It is needed to pay the bills.Let's just look at a couple things first.- Playing Penn State gives us a very high chance at a Lose/Lose situation. We take a loss, and all the local high school stars can justify why they should pick PSU over Akron.- Our program is still building, we need a winning strategy to attract better talent and improve the fan base.I would love to play teams like Penn State in the future, but I think it's better for this program to start establishing a winning tradition. This will help build the fan base and bring in higher quality talent.I think there are better strategies for us that will benefit us better in the long run than the one we have now like playing hard to win games in Happy Valley.I hope Akron wins next year and think it would be a huge boost to the program. But I think the risk is too high if you are looking for Wins.To create a winning tradition, we need to first lower the risk of losing.

Dude - We play in the MAC East. We play the dregs of D1 in Ken.t, OU, Temple, EMU, etc. every year. And BG and Buffalo aren't exactly "Florida" and "Texas." How many more cupcakes do you want? What decent D1 recruit wants to play his entire career against total garbage?At some point, if you are a Division 1 school, you need to compete against decent D1 teams. BTW - $750k for a days work in Happy Vally is a sweet deal. Especially considering the Big 10 is becoming more and more beatable every season (the days of losing 70-24 in such games is long gone).I never said D1 AA schools. When I say cup cakes, i mean the bad D 1 schools. Whether they're BCS schools or not doesn't matter, we should be able to beat both.

We could schedule the BAD BCS or non-bcs teams for cup cake wins. I would rather schedule these teams than D1 AA teams. Can we get back to the topic? I think Info will average 25k per game for the first 5 years. After UA fires JD for only being able to win 50% of the time against MAC teams, we'll get a new coach that can dominate in the MAC and make another conference actually have interest in us. Years 5-10 should average around 30k.

If 7-5 gets you into a bowl game, wouldn't it make sense to schedule 4 cup cakes for the out-of-conference games? Wouldn't the bowl money be more attracting than going to Happy Valley? Just some thoughts.

The Taylor Institute is nice, I've only had 2 classes in there but I'm an accounting student. It's mostly used for marketing majors. It's a great facility. Grats to the marketing department for getting this.

I like Caleb better than Lolla. Maybe we'll finally get a National Championship this year. If not, expect it within the next 4 years.

There aren't that many classes on Friday so I could see how they can do this. But, if there was a test scheduled, you'd find a lot of teachers upset.The school is almost a ghost town on Fridays.

Watching the game on TV, does not look like there are many people at the Rubber Bowl. 6,000 to 9,000. Wish I could have gone but didn't get out of class until 10:00 and the game is too late to bring the family.

Like a lot of other students, I will be in class. I really despise these weekday games. They make me ANGRY!!!!!
