Does Cincinnati already have a 12th game?? if not, it should be against Akron. I think it would be nice to show everyone that Cincinnati (a bcs school) isn't as good as Akron.

Your right, people won't stop buying OSU merchandise, no one said that. I said "more" which means that because they're not going far in the tournament, you won't see a big increase in sales. I have nothing against you for being a front runner but please read things correctly.

Just curious to know how everyones dealing with their football withdraw.I'm so anxious for next years football season that I've been playing NCAA football 06 for the past couple of days. I'm planning on buying a new truck and getting a grill so I can tailgate for my first time at a UA football game. I'll bring lots of beer for everyone.

Not winning the MAC championship and missing out on the NCAA really hurts fan support. You have to admit it was growing. Locals were actually considering rooting for this team. But they flopped. And we all know who's going to capitalize, OSU. Some people think it's comparing apples to oranges, but that's not true. OSU's fan support in this area hurts Akron. Why would people go watch an Akron game when there's an OSU game on TV. That's the attitude this school has to change but losing games we should win is going to make Akron "akron who?" and OSU "Go Buckeyes"I grew up a OSU fan and always rooted for them. I've started hating the Buckeyes ever since Akron started winning. I even rooted for Michigan. I usually get upset when I see people wearing OSU stuff when I know they've never enrolled in the school or even set foot on their campus. Akron should never settle for less. If OSU can do it, so can Akron. You have to start somewhere and grow. This loss stunts our growth for the time being, hopefully next year we'll start growing again.

I heard the game is sold out. Since students can't buy tickets in advance, how many seats will they make available for students?? Someone told me only 500. Is this true or will there be more?

I always thought we had a great O-Line, Getsy had a lot of time to make throws this season and hopefully he'll have longer next year.

Can't has a lot of good looking girls though. The nose thing, might be because they're Italian. But we all know Can't is known for having good looking girls, to say this isn't true is just being biased and irrational. But I've been impressed with Akron's lately. I think with the latest improvements around campus, Akron will get the good looking girls from Tallmadge and Green.. There's something in the water there.

Akron isn't very conservative, it's probably more moderate than anything else. Which is a good thing.

I think Terry Pluto did an excellent job. Hopefully it helps get people interested in the Zips. I wish there was more of this.

Akron has been making great strides in growing popularity in NE Ohio, but that's probably going to start slowing down if OSU does something in this tournament. I think we all know how people in this area are. I'd love to see Akron beat OSU in the tournament if they get a chance to play each other. That would be a slap in the face to all the local front runners.

Football is the greatest sport in the world, How could you not talk about it during the off-season. Next year is going to be fun.

Are you worried about Rasor's blog getting more attention than zipsnation.org? Rasor's blog is more of a news source while zipsnation.org is a fan based community where fans can express views and thoughts about the u of akron. Rasor shouldn't be compared or looked at as competition. It's nice to have more than one source of information about the Zips. Why discourage people from using Rasor's blog as a source of information? Incourage it, for Rasor's blog is helping to spread Akron's popularity.

Macedonia is a great location. It's exactly in the middle of Cleveland and Akron. Macedonia is 2 seconds from Hudson and Hudson is traditionally known for soccer. But I don't know if many Akron and Cleveland people will want to drive 20 minutes to go watch soccer

I agree. Some high school players may think that if they stand out in the MAC, they have a better shot at the pros. Plus they don't have to compete for starting jobs as much. Look at Mike D'Andrea for Ohio State. He wasted his career at OSU as a backup after he got hurt.

Thanks Zen, I apreciate your honesty, you seem very smart and I was impressed with your dome ideas. The reason I like the mall is because of the convenience factor. Zips hats sell like hot cakes at Lids and no other store in that area has Uakron gear. I understand your idea about it not being at the mall. Before I bought my new duplex, I was looking at a building on n. Main st that had 3 living units and a business unit on the bottum. That could have made for a great start. I really haven't done any marketing segmenting on the mall idea yet. The idea is still too new for me. That's why I ask the fans there opinion first. I like the mall idea because it helps establish this team as the main college in this community, which other retailers in this area thinks it's ohio state. I think a local team shop can help spread Akron's popularity in this area, which I think we can all agree that it's lacking and not near its potential.
