I went on Rivals message board a few minutes ago and one of the topics is "Gamecocks beat Akron twice in bball, I feel like OSU in football". They called us a bottom feeder mid-major program. Wow....for anyone that thinks we have ANY sort of respect on a national level think again. Shitting your pants every time you are on national television will do that I guess.

This team is at that fork in the road. They had a lot of fun all off season reading their press clippings about how great they were going to be. To say they are seeing some adversity is an understatement. I guess we will see what these guys are made of because we arent just going to walk through the MAC. Right now I would put Toledo, Can't, Ohio and Eastern at our level or slightly above. For the first time in several years, however, I am questioning whether we are mentally tough enough or have that "team leader" to pull us through. If we dont have that guy step up and pull this team together things are going to spiral out of control quickly.

I think these game are showing that it is without a doubt Zeke Marshall. I cant count how many times in the last few years that we gave up penetration to the rim and Zeke would just wipe it away. We dont have that this year and we cant stop anyone. We are getting destroyed by teams taking it to the rim on us.

They get to the rim at will and we completely lose our man WAY TOO MUCH. I would love to see a zone!!!

No kidding. We do not have the players to execute that offense. I shook my head as soon as the announcer said what Dambrots offensive plans were for the 2nd half.

Dambrot needs to switch to a zone, but he is too stubborn to do so.

Stick a fork in this team. They are done. It isnt going to get much better in MAC play either.

I agree.....we cant consider ourselves a top mid-major. The top mid-majors make noise on a national scale. We havent.....ever

The only thing that is a joke was the Zips performance in the 2nd half in Hawaii. I think Tree needs to worry more about getting things straightened out with his teammates rather than worrying about what a bunch of knuckleheads on a sports forum have to say.

I think you make a valid point. I was struck earlier in the game when the announcer mentioned that McAdams only had 1 turnover in something like 130 minutes of play. Basically, he and Kretzer stand out at the 3 point line and do nothing else.

What is wrong with this team? It isnt talent. I dont know, but it doesnt seem like these guys get along very well. You can just see in their body language that they dont seem to care. That is very troubling if this is the case.

I have to go cheer for someone else because we stink?? That wouldnt be very nice to our guys, would it?

We have been bad the entire season. What gives you any hope that things will get better?

Decent team??? They are 3-6!!! They have lost 6 of their last 8 games. They lost to South Carolina Upstart and Boise just beat them by 26. They are AWFUL.

All of my expectations of this team are gone. We are absolutely terrible. It is hard to even sit and watch us play. The MAC has gotten a lot better and unfortunately, we have gotten much much worse. This team just seems too mentally fragile to compete for anything.

Pittman is not one of those guys. He and Meyer didnt get along. I dont think there is a question about whether or not Pittman can play. I am talking about guys that they offer and they end up not being very good players. The SEC is very good at ushering those guys out the door.

We look awful.
