  1. Amani Lyles on that offensive possession from Marshall with 3 or 4 offensive rebounds... Also, Marshall could probably get away with murder right now under the basket.
  2. Did the game start?
  3. Would love to know what our players know about the Iranian players' return home, and if any of that led to the extra effort to console them after that match.
  4. This is a pretty big game as far as a barometer for this team goes. We've held serve against fellow Mid Majors (no I don't consider the MWC an official Mid Major conference). Does that continue, especially on the road?
  5. They are 6-2 on the season so far, and have yet to be blown out in their 2 losses. Anybody know what the reason is behind the 4 or 5 year ban on postseason participation for newly classified DI schools? Seems a bit ridiculous.
  6. $1.5M would barely crack the Top 10 Most Lucrative NIL Deals ... So far... Also I do believe the report. Portnoy has F Off money, and he throws it around like it's candy at a parade. He the Hunter deal was a marketing promo for Barstool's NIL program where they sponsor college athletes from any sport. It's a similar strategy to his College Basketball Invitational at Philly to get 2 Ohio schools so they can promote their sportsbook.
  7. If Tavari is starting with X at the 2, I'd be shocked.
  8. At the P5 level, he'll certainly have a tougher time out-recruiting his adversaries. But at the HBCU level, he out-recruited P5s not just HBCU/G5s. Not an entire class but to land the caliber of player he has at Jackson State, he'll be able to take that anywhere and with even more to offer than just himself.

  10. Isn't this the case with OSUcks, Bama, etc.? The name of the game is recruiting. At that level (Cincy entering the Big 12), good coaches bring in the most talent possible, establish the culture, then stay out of their talents' way. Deion has proven to 1) recruit damn well and 2) be able to establish a strong culture. Personally, I'd love to see Cincy hire Brian Hartline simply to send OSUcks fans into a panic attack of epic proportions.
  11. Side note ahead of this game. Shocky Jacques-Louis and Alex Adams each have exactly 837 yds receiving according to ESPN. Daniel George has 693 yds. Adams and George will be back next year. When is the last time we had a receiving corps like this? (My first guess would be the last time JoeMo was here - Hixon & Jabari Arthur in 2005) Here's to hoping one or both of SJL & Adams have a huge day(s).
  12. Love this. High motor. 6'4" 230 lbs. By the way, SFU had a nice 9-3 season.
  13. False. According to Failure U's staff directory, Jim Christian is the Asst. Athletic Director.
  14. That cheer you heard came from a combination of the local Auburn escort business community and the NCAA investigations office employees who have been looking for work to do.
  15. Add Stanford, Arizona State, Colorado, and Wisconsin to this list given the PAC12 & Big 52 (Big Ten) experience/connections on this staff.
  16. Eastern Illinois Fighting Tony Romos. 5'10" DB (Safety?) with 2 years of eligibility left. Also received an offer from NMSU upon quick review.
  17. We are hitting FCS schools hard.
  18. "Scum... slime... menace to the golfing industry." - Carl Spackler Always Fear the Roo.
  19. Figured we could track the college football offseason here. First big domino just fell. Luke Fickell to Wisconsin. Cincinnati will be ripe for picking. One of their WRs, Tyler Scott, is from Norton.
  20. Tremendous analysis and write up. The improvement this year is quite obvious once you look beyond the Win & Loss columns. Our ability to compete and be in just about every game is pretty remarkable. JoeMo is as transparent and straightforward a coach I've ever seen, and I think we should've taken his words a bit more seriously about the DI talent deficit on our roster when he took over. I'll admit I thought he was trying to temper expectations before easily exceeding them. Turns out, he was just telling everyone how it was - we weren't even a DI program under Arth. The first sign of being just a few players away was the Liberty game. We should've won that game, but lacked the extra few pieces to put us over the top. Liberty finished the season 8-4, and their coach is probably going to be on his way to Auburn. Looking at the MAC portion, every single loss outside of OU and Miami was by 1 full score or less. That's it. This team has completed all year. They are fully bought into JoeMo and his staff, evident by their effort, especially yesterday in a meaningless game. We are so much closer than the average football fan realizes, and I'm stoked for next year. However, we're not finished with this year. Keep Canada from Bowling.
  21. Recruits aren't going to know or care that NIU didn't play their A squad. They're going to see a team with a 1-9 record playing their asses off for their coach in a meaningless game en route to a blowout win.
  22. JoeMo is their kryptonite 😎
  23. TOUCHDOWN AKRON! WOW! Alex Adams snagged a pass but intended for him that would've otherwise been intercepted most likely.
  24. What if I told you at the beginning of the season we'd be playing in December? 😎
  25. Their first legitimate opponent and they choke. Beautiful.
